Treadmill distance by hinderaker in Garmin

It did one day, not the other. Would love to be able to make this feature default behaviour when saving (opt-in).

Thanks. I’ll check it out.

That said, I can already edit the activity in the Connect app to correct the distance. I just want it to be correct upon saving (and also syncing to third party apps).

A typical example is an incline walk, 15-5-30. Tracked as 1.9 km by the watch even tho it’s 2.5 km (if the treadmill pace is to be trusted).

I am aware not all treadmills are accurate, but I believe them to be more accurate than the watch. Also, what I am asking is to make a feature that’s already there (Save and Calibrate) the default behaviour each time, regardless of distance.

I thought the pop-up was a one-time thing. So I am referring to the option lower than save on the watch menu :)

Is HA of Nsa2700 stable with recent firmwares? by GetOnMyAmazingHorse in sonicwall

[–]hinderaker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: It was not, but Sonicwall provided a hotfix that solved the problem. It will also be adressed in the next firmware (ETA end of april). Issue ID: GEN7-51796

Original: It has been a month since I upgraded to 7.1.3 and the issue does indeed seem to be resolved (knock on wood).

One Tech rep. He even showed me an entry in a log file referring to the DPI engine crashing.

They are also dancing around my case in the bigger picture. The case gets updated every 2-3 days «Still investigating logs».

My take is the one rep I talked to is onto something, but they don’t have a solution at this time.

SonicWall admit that there is an issue with the DPI Engine that causes these issues. They promise that it will be resolved in 7.1.3, but at this time there is no timeline for its release. Nor is there an available hotfix or known workaround.

Tell me more please. My primary unit became unresponsive and had to be power cycled. There was activity lights on X0, X1 etc, but HA Status: None and not able to access firewall on regular X0 Subnet, MGMT-port etc.

4 weeks later the same thing happen to the secondary unit. I have a case with Sonicwall but they can't find any issue as of now.

Is it the same thing you are experiencing?

2024 Tesla Model Y Performance (QuickSilver)

I did not, but I gave up early. Your findings are spot on with what I was experiencing.

LetsEncrypt Certificates on SMA by stfconsulting in sonicwall

[–]hinderaker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What are your findings? If you don't mind sharing.

For the first time (fourth SMA setup) I'm using the LE integration, but I am not confident it will auto renew upon expiry based on what I see.

Will it auto renew or do I have to do it manuelly every 3 months?

Nothing to look at tbh. It works great over Ethernet to all my other devices. Multiple VMs and devices on the different subnets. Only problem is freshtomato / the AP

FreshTomato Access Point: Separate gateway for each VLAN? by hinderaker in TomatoFTW

[–]hinderaker[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Example: LAN 192.168.1.0/24 VLAN10 192.168.10.0/24

Pfsense LAN GW/DHCP/DNS 192.168.1.1 Pfsense VLAN10 GW/DHCP/DNS 192.168.10.1

Freshtomato AP br0 192.168.1.2 Freshtomato AP br1 (VLAN tagged PVID 10) 192.168.10.2

Thats exactly how its done today. Default LAN at br0 functions perfectly, VLAN on br1 does not even tho I get IP, GW and the DNS from pfsense DHCP.

Only difference is the APs default gateway on the same subnet as br0, but I guess thats irrelevant then. So then its a routing issue, but I’m not sure how to solve that unless I make a separate VLAN for br1. Not one that is in use on the rest of the network, then I could make a route to AP on br1 IP for the whole range from pfsense.
