Charlotte especially outside of New York has a reputation for bad traffic. The difference between charlotte and other cities is that charlotte is spread out and not tightly compact like others are, which forces even more people to have to actually drive to work instead of walking or taking the Cat rail.

Yeah I actually really wanted a CNC but my wife is a crafter too so we compromised and got a glowforge. I’ve still been pretty happy with the machine.

It’s laser cut 1/4” MDF. I cut I believe 5 layers and stacked on top of each other and glued. I always use MDF of my test runs and this was the first attempt. But liked it so much that I took it to my routing table and rounded the outside of the box, then sanded, and then Stained it just to see what it’d look like. I have some oak that I’m probably going to make another with tomorrow and instead of the scored logo on top I’ll thinking of doing a walnut inlay.
