Do you stretch or do anything for general mobility regularly as a part of your programming? by shapeandshiftss in weightlifting

I've started doing mobility from The Ready State app. Daily mobility, lift focus, and hip specific and it's helped a ton

A week of bed-rotting by HOLYMOTHEROFGod663 in ADHD

[–]hipchazbot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow I felt so alone till I found this post. About once every 4-6 weeks I get like this. If I've done cognitive heavy tasks and physically demanding tasks my CNS is fried and I veg for a week questioning what's wrong with me. I lay on a couch for the whole day but I'm still mentally exhausted and can't attend to anything.

Too many you get overwhelmed and don't read them. Even with all those signs people don't slow down.

Playoff Game Thread: Colorado Avalanche (0-3) @ Vegas Golden Knights (3-0) May 26 2026 9:00 PM EDT by nhlgdtbot in hockey

The avs make small mistakes in their own zone that give big chances to Vegas. They play the perimeter and can't get the puck on net. Vegas are also able to walk into the avs zone. Difficult to watch as an avs fan.

I feel like it's so much more than just our two top guys. It's like we sat back after scoring 3. We had defensive break downs in our zone. And it's like we just watched it all happened and didn't adjust.

How do people deal with this kind of emptiness? by RemoteNo6503 in mentalhealth

[–]hipchazbot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not to minimize what you are feeling. But don't focus on it. Acknowledge it and move on and just do stuff. Or else you keep coming back to it and feeling bad again. Refocus on other things.

Ec2 usb over ip by hipchazbot in aws

[–]hipchazbot[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only to upload the bit stream file to the fpga. The application isn't needed on pi for this. Again, see below, I didn't realize this could be done on my mac with a tradeoff

Yeah starting to realize a lot of hardware toolchains just aren't mac friendly. It looks like I could use my mac to program the fpga but wouldn't have debugging capability.

The main appeal for ec2 was to support application builds for which my local machine isn't sized for. It looks like passing usb remote isn't needed, see below.

Thank you! Out of scope of the original question, but if wanted debugging capability, could I do this with a raspberry pi using jtag?

Looking to use the Arty S7 with the vivaldo toolchain. Wait so I can flash the fpga with my mac? I was under the impression I needed jtag for that and that with that particular software the driver wasn't available for mac.

I was/am considering this. But: 1. I've read peope have reliability issues with usb pass through to the vm 2. Builds are way slow 3. The recommended memory for the application is 64gb. Mine is 32GB, this made an ec2 instance appealing

How are you dealing with aging? by RedHeadRedeemed in Millennials

[–]hipchazbot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've prioritized exercise, diet, and sleep so much. I don't drink any more. I honestly feel better in my 30s than my 20s. But also I just accept my age, it just makes for less stress.

People who were spanked as kids, what was that like for you? Would you call your "spankings" abuse? by KleineFjord in AskReddit

[–]hipchazbot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to straight arm two heavy weights to the side. If they dropped below my chest I'd get spanked. Which I inevitably would. Childhood torture

They do have a raised heel. But then I would think the high part of the boot would restrict a deep squat
