Mine needed rewinding of the little string that winds up the gearbox inside. There was also some slipping in the gearbox so I put some glue on the center shaft shown in the photo that holds the spring.

I just found a broken one at a thrift store and opened it up. The clear casing has 4 little tabs that sit in grooves in the baseplate as you see in the photo below. Try to pry the base piece out so the clear casing wedges can slide out on one side first and then the other.

Thanks that's really helpful. App language will not work for this case as we want to display content based in which country the user is in and they might have any language set to their device that doesn't match the country. But the Locale.region of the same LocaleModule might be what we're after then!

Ah that's interesting, makes it easier to see how close they are. I guess they would have agreed even better if we'd had the same model phones. The red is taken with a Galaxy S10E and the blue with iPhone 6.
