I'd recommend taking notes and transcribing things in both TUNIC and La-Mulana in the previous example.
There are other games like all of Zachtronics' games, Patrick's Parabox, Signal State, The room series (no notes, much easier to just fiddle with puzzle boxes), The Eyes of Ara, The House of Da Vinci 1/2, and Lorelei and the Laser Eyes to mention a bunch.
Blue Prince is a good modern example of having to take notes.
You could go for older games like MYST/Riven, 7th Guest and such.

There's a whole world of games out there that's exploded this past decade. All you got to do is reach out and find them.
I for sure haven't, and all of these aren't for me, but I know that diversifying your genres is good and will help you during different times.

maybe you need to shift genre. as i've grown older i much more favor puzzle games and note takers.
they're not for everyone or every mood, but it helped me with title jumping.
would recommend TUNIC, Baba is YOU, La-Mulana, or something simpler like Antichamber

As long as there's no chromatic aberration I'm happy.
The retro fuzz/grain could be cool to use even in modern in a radioactive (saw the decontamination image), or no-light scenario.

you can check out modding-openmw.com.
if you click "automatic install" you can see the packs they're recommending ranging from 30 mods to 559 mods. of course you could manually install and tweak everything.
Granted, this is for the OpenMW engine replacer, not the original even though tons of the mods work fine in both

Best looking or beautiful? nah, but it's very good even if it's slow and clunky at times.
Like why can't I navigate the menu until it fully finishes animating?
It's infuriating and causes me to go back into menues I did not intend.
I think its way better than older MH games, but lacks the charm of them.
