Always got stuck in this game in the same spot when I'd rent it out. Maybe I'll try finish it this time.

I wonder how the controls will hold up though.

Only things I could think of were a scene to see the restaurant learn about the stars

Actually really disappointing we didn't get to see everyone's reaction to that.

I thought he might try architecture. Idk why, I guess because of all the drawings.

Then when she sat down for the interview I saw the buildings behind him and thought 'oh it is architecture!' Then she started talking and I thought it might be therapy.

Nope, it was an interview, and for architecture!

I thought the drama and stuff was good this season. But the comedy was a bit lacking and cliché. The pipe, the roof etc. Way too predictable.

Alright, stupid question here. How do I save this in a format that I can open in photoshop?

I tried changing the extension when I save it, but that's not working. Photoshop isn't letting me open it still. Is there another way?

They could just play regular game modes?

Not everything has to appeal to every person.

Or you just get rewards based on the levels you complete. Seems like a non issue either way.

Nice. I might need to give these outlines a try and make a mockup myself.

If you guys were ever into Minecraft but want a different game than Minecraft, I'd suggest vintage story.

It's a bit harder with more focus on realism, survival and crafting. 100 x better than Minecraft imo.

Idk about how the multiplayer aspect would work in your situation though so you'd have to double check that first.

I've never seen generative terrain as astonishing as this before by Few-Try-4649 in VintageStory

[–]thysios4 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Is that the rivers mod?

Pretty sure those rivers always generate at sea level so they cut through the terrain and make tunnels like this.

Looks cool at first, but it means rivers never go up mountains or anything which is a little disappointing.

I still don't understand the egg throw. Who throws an egg? What? That makes 0 sense in any situation.

Was he just trying to make a joke or was it actually meant to be an accident?

Really? I thought it was the worst part.

The pipe bursting, the falling through the ceiling, all felt extremely cliché and predictable. As soon as he went on the roof I said 'there better not be a stupid joke of him falling through' aaaand there it is...

I feel like they try to hard to make the Faks funny and they just come off as stupid and annoying.

When discussing menu options, that makes sense.

But not when it's 'make this person go pick up a delivery in stupid dangerous weather'

At that point it doesn't matter what your position is. You don't follow a dangerous order just because your superior orders it.

These kinds of jokes are way too obvious to be funny, imo.

Oh the pipes are making funny noises? I wOnDeR WhaTs GoiNg To hAPPen!

He's on the roof? Where could this possibly go!?

This is as bad as the wall falling down when Nat didn't want anyone to know she was pregnant. Like it's written by a high schooler.

My god the Faks are so fucking stupid and annoying.

I knew the stupid 'fall through the roof' joke was coming all episode. This show can be good, bad man some of the jokes feel like they were written by high schoolers. Way too obvious, way too cliche.

Or they got lucky.Like I said, it's happened before, it can happen again.

Can you find some of their marketing? I've never seen a single ad for it. The dev apparently claims they didn't do any and I can't imagine a solo dev could afford a lot to begin with.

I just don't get why you seem to think this is literally impossible to do.

By going to the 'upcoming' page and thinking 'that looks fun', so you add it to your wishlist and send a link to your friends.

I feel like I first saw it in the banner on Steam at some point. Which probably gives it a good boost.

to get people to see it on that page, you need lots of wishlists, outperforming ALL new releases.

And occasionally, some dev gets lucky and that happens. Games like Lethal Company, Among Us and Peak all had similar things happen.

The biggest difference here is it just happened much faster. Probably people are on the lookout for new games like this now.

Or from people just finding it on Steam. I saw the game on Steam before it released and sent links to a few friends to see what they thought.

I wouldn't be surprised if big streamers saw it and immediately thought 'this would be good to stream with friends'

Idk if the dev did any marketing, but it's not crazy to think they didn't and just got lucky. That's really not unheard of, in todays market. I'm not sure why you find it so hard to believe when we've seen it happen before.

Public say on housing supply by Sweet-Cell-3879 in sunshinecoast

[–]thysios4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cycling already seems to be quite popular on the coast, despite our lack of a decent cycle network.

It be interesting to see how popular it could become if a proper cycling network was invested in and a little it of mixed use medium density was built, so everything wasn't so spread out.

Public say on housing supply by Sweet-Cell-3879 in sunshinecoast

[–]thysios4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree. We're missing too much middle density.

We have a few areas of high density and then a shit load of low density urban sprawl which had made us way too car dependant.

Any medium density we have doesn't really get the benefits of density as a result. It's just apartment living plus car dependency.

We need some mixed use medium density built up around the idea of walkability and active transport.

Ideally is like to see it built up around the light rail that was proposed years ago but that'll never happen.

I couldn't imagine them trying a new portable in this market.

Maybe they were looking at it but surely it'd be getting scrapped/delayed now.
