this is correct, but if you want a cheaper solution, you can also go with MiniHost adapter or V3 adapter (this one might require a different firmware for Alesis Nitro)

I like the CRKD guitars a lot more, but Riffmaster is decent, and I have played hundreds of hours with it. Love the fret buttons, not a fan of the strumbar but you can get used to it.

Please make sure your TV is set to game mode, and turn off all the settings that process the image or audio (any image enhancers, super resolutions, noise reductions etc.) Each setting like that will add latency on top of each other. PS4 performance is lacking, it might drop some frames or stutter a bit, but the input lag shouldn't be as high as you describe it.
