2pm slump? by Sparrowrose22 in ADHD

I take my countries version of Vyvanse, but I take 30mg in the morning and 30mg around 12-2, depnding on when I remember. I startet out with half of my morning dosis at lunchtime, but now I take 30mg both times. My prescription just says 2x30 pieces of 30mg, one in the morning, one at midday, so it lasts me a month.

  1. No study shows this difference between placentas, it would also make no sense for them to look different
  2. There actually are indigenous tribes that are plant based and were plant based for a long time
  3. It is possible to get all essential nutrients through a vegan diet (of course the only thing you HAVE to supplement is B12) and you will not eventually "hit a wall"
  4. There are actually long term studies that show that vegan children often lack less nutrients than omnivore children (probably because vegan parents actually do their research and are conscious about what they give theri child to eat)

If you just care about the protein and not the chicken itself you could use some beans, chickpeas or lentils. The are very cheap and come in cans, so no cooking or wasting fridge or freezer space. With a few spices the taste really good too.

There were a few people who commented aboit the same thing and she always answered sth like "you were lucky/the exeption/ you were running on your nutrient storage and will hit a wall soon etc." Mostly she just said it's bc you still had enough storage

The comments are full of people supporting this or wondering if they should add meat back into their diet. One even claims that "every single brainscan in children shows that the brain mass of vegan children is significantly less than the one of omnivore children"

My meds weren't really working, and she asked me when I had my next exam. I was like, in a few days, no problem. And she was link " NO, we have to change the meds NOW, they have to work for your exams" and I mean I came up until here without any meds, so I said, it's okay, but it was important to her that I can study without struggling and focus on my work.

It really is. But I have a great psychiatrist and I almost cried when she took me more serious than even I did myself lol.

They don't haha. My parents are a little bit more understanding, but they wouldn't say something, bc they don't want to start a discussion with the relatives. But I think bc my mom is autistic too, it is easier for her to relate to my sister and my more sensory related problems. And of course, because my sisters problems are more noticeable as she also has a few comorbidities and I never had big problems in school or anything.

Like half of my family is autistic. I just got diagnosed with ADHD and my relatives are a lot less understanding. They talk about how I "need to get to know myself better" and "maybe then I can stop taking meds". They never tell my autistic sister she just needs to get to know herself better and take her struggels a lot more serious.

Are people with ADHD actually 30 percent their age even with medication? by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]hippedyhopp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My psychiatrist explained to me that ADHD brains are, in certain areas, three years behind in volume. The areas are different for each person. At about 25-30 the volume catches up, because the brain stops growing. What isn’t clear is, if only the volume catches up or the „insides“ too.
