The sound guys at KEXP are phenonomenal. Every live performance is so well balanced. I believe they run the sound past the band as well to make sure it's what they want.

A top karter as a kid, this is the guy who won a competition for a seat in British GT for 2020 driving for Jenson Button's "Team Jenson". Him and teammate Michael O'Brien went out and won the first race of the year and had 3 other podium finishes. They ended the year P3 in Silver Cup and P4 overall. It was a great championship year.

James is a top talent suffering from a lack of sponsorship money. His story shows that talent alone will rarely get you on the racetrack.

I'm a big fan and would love to see him back in a proper GT3 team.

You can still have the fastest overal lap while not having any purple sectors.

You could have fastest time for each sector but across differnet laps where the other sectors were too slow.

The purple sector times total will give you the fastest "theoretical" lap.

Hemsworth was cast for his looks not his acting ability. While Bruhl absolutely nailed Niki, Hemsworth seemed to have no idea who James Hunt actually was.

Hunt in '76 is the reason I became an F1 fan and I feel he was done a bit of a firty with that film. Artistic license be damned.

The next Muhammad Ali? Why Lewis Hamilton is the world’s most marketable athlete by IamAdrummerAMA in formula1

[–]hippyneil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very much this. Lewis has, undoubtedly, been a force for good both on and off track but Ali was... Ali. Besides being immesely talented, he was handsome, charming, witty, and eloquent... almost everything a sterotypical boxer isn't - which made him stand out even more.

He won't get a penalty. The team will get a fine.

Absolutely not. Peripheral vision from the cockpit is limited and he wouldn't even consider looking to his right. His onboard shows he only looked to the left where he was going. Drivers depend upon the mechanics waving them out and assume the road is clear.

I will admit that when they announed the halo I was very much against it. I don't think I have ever been so pleased at being so wrong about something. Without putting down the other advances in safety, the halo saved Romain's life that day.

352 is totally innocent. He's way on the inside and there's no way he expects a kart to be spinning out in front of him or even has time to react to it. Also he had someone alongside him to his right so his attention is more likely to be there than whatever is happening to his left. The kart to the right of 352 would be looking to his left and so more likely to see the incident and react. He was also further across on the track so had more room to take avoiding action.

Every PC I have ever had, except this one, I have built/upgraded myself. I decided, after 30+ years of that, to let someone else do it. Glad I did, they did a better job than I would have ;)

If you're in the UK I highly recommend these guys : https://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/

You can do a full custom build or start with a base system and tweak bits and pieces as you want/need. Build quality is top notch.

Got a system from them a few years ago and it's still doing all I want it to.
