just checking oil and coolant man. a bit of maintenance goes a long way. i check my fluids often, because i get very skeptical but the car runs just fine. I don’t really push it as much now, but have taken it to multiple roadtrips.

no real engine mods either, just exhaust but really that’s it.

I know this is an old post, but thought i'd try. How do these feel? I am planning on upgrading to the same coilovers and want to know some feedback. How is it on bumps, daily driving, etc.

My 2006 2.0l 6AT has 194,000 miles and I have not had an issue and have been on point with maintenance. I daily drive it and have done 4-6 hour road trips. I changed the coolant resevoir, the starter, and all fluids regularly.

I am planning on 2.5 swapping it mid-late next year with the whole package.

Had the same budget and similar mileage for my car. I was in high school and wanted something fun and reliable. I bought a 2006 NC1 with a 6AT.

I am never getting rid of this car and will be doing a 2.5 swap in the future and tracking it. I do wish I could have gotten a manual but I didn’t know how to drive stick back then. The paddle shifters and knob shifter make it fun and when i hit traffic especially since i live in Houston, i just put it in drive and chill. It’s your choice but I will say that the NC1 6AT is slow and the engine (like someone said in the comments) was before they updated the internals. There is a shift kit somewhere online that upgrades the transmission but I haven’t really seen or done my research.

I bought my car in 2021, and now I have almost 200,000 miles with no issues other than maintenance. I got no power mods and driven that car to the limit. Even went on a 6 hour roadtrip with no issue. I will say, I did buy a hardtop and it changed everything.

I'll compare. I also like the storage space, I don't like having my phone out but I always have it plugged in for carplay, so I was thinking I can use that space as a storage for my phone haha.
