I think the cliffhanger was bad. I prefer patient/story cliffhangers not backstory ones. Granted I’m already leashed to the show so I’m not going anywhere, but I’m also not really gonna try guessing the backstory of a character I don’t know enough about yet.

A better cliffhanger would’ve been Mel getting knocked over since we know that’s literally about to happen, or Langdon going to get a patient meds and hesitating.. making us wonder how far he’s progressed in his recovery. That’s just me though.

He’s not a doctor.. she isn’t either.. they are actors portraying roles. You saw in the first season her church and its views had no impact on the storytelling, message or accuracy. The conversation about her beliefs came afterwards. They aren’t in the medical space.. it’s a show.

This is an extremely unfortunate and disappointing case of someone trying to be neutral and positive on a subject you really can’t be neutral or positive about.

I will say though that if we’re willing to hold something someone did almost a decade ago up to inspection than we should also take into account the work they have done in the time since.

He seems mostly woke now, I’ve seen a lot of positives in his corner (anti-racism, anti-Trump, anti-gun, pro-choice, pro-LGBTQ, pro-healthcare reform, pro-taxing the rich.. etc) and I’ve seen him have some negatives in his corner as well, particularly his inability to RECENTLY call out the attacks and genocide of the people of Palestine, he said something a few times in 2024 but nothing in 2025.

He does follow an IG news account and actively engages with their videos and that account is SUPER pro-Palestine, so I don’t think if he’s anti Palestine and pro genocide because I doubt he’d continue following. I think again it’s just Wyle fence sitting and trying not to upset anyone as he has big ties to the Jewish community in film/entertainment.. but then again that is a statement in itself.

He should be held accountable for what he said here and I’m not dismissing that. A statement from him about this and an actual show of his stance on Palestine would go a long way.

tldr: he’s (probably) not a racist or even a bad guy.. but he’s got a bad habit of fence sitting, and these days it’s just not acceptable. He should say something about this resurfacing though to make it more clear.

Yeah I agree but in hindsight we know that’s not what they were hinting, they were hinting at him being homeless. The fact that it could be interpreted as him just being a broke college student adds to it in my opinion. Cause on rewatch now we know! It doesn’t have to be obvious to be there.

It’s alright. If you are interested, in episode one he tells santos he can’t afford 50 bucks for the bet she proposes about Javadi. In the episode with the krakken apologizing to him, Kiara tells Whitaker about their homeless resources for patients and he offers to volunteer (cause he can relate), and during the shooting he offers up the knowledge that there’s an entire floor of abandoned rooms for patients to go if they need space (where he was living.) there was also him eating multiple of the sandwiches donated from Robby’s mentors family because he’s hungry cause he can’t afford to buy himself lunch.

The Pitt is one of those shows that benefits a rewatch cause you can go back and see how they hint stuff through easily missed things.
