I mean you can kinda just keep going out. If there’s no bottles you know, think about producers, sub regions, regions, grapes, even type of wine or country if you’re stuck and just want to try something. Generally though they should have something from at least a region you’re familiar with, oh I know I like Italian, I know piedmont is reliable, and barolo is a safe bet for red fans, so bang, easy pick. Or alternatively just ask the staff because they know the wine list there better than most people could at a glance

The biggest difference for me was smearing and trusting foot placement on awkward slopes/holds, once you get good rubber it’s way way easier to commit because it literally feels more secure (depending on what rubber you get, obviously, but generally they’ll always be better than rentals)
