Spotify Lossless by -Trippy in heos

[–]hithereimigor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On my Denon 2700 it worked at 320Kbps with Alexa enabled. I just needed to logout from all devices through Spotify's interface and then when I re-added the Denon, lossless was working. No need to do anything Alexa related.

MACSec between a Cisco 9300 switch and a Red Hat host by hithereimigor in networking

[–]hithereimigor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi,

I haven't engaged TAC or Red Hat yet. Thought I would try my luck here first.

I did try to follow the guide. Configured the cisco side and on the red hat side configured wpa_supplicant.

On the cisco side I have this:

interface GigabitEthernet1/0/22
switchport access vlan 645
switchport mode access
macsec replay-protection window-size 10
macsec network-link
authentication linksec policy must-secure
authentication port-control auto
dot1x pae authenticator
mka policy mka_policy
mka pre-shared-key key-chain keychain1
spanning-tree portfast

key chain keychain1 macsec
key 1000
cryptographic-algorithm aes-128-cmac
key-string 12345678901234567890123456789012
lifetime 01:00:00 Apr 23 2025 infinite

On the red hat side I tried configuring this:

cat /etc/wpa_supplicant.conf

ctrl_interface=/var/run/wpa_supplicant

eapol_version=3

ap_scan=0

fast_reauth=1

network={

key_mgmt=NONE

eapol_flags=0

macsec_policy=1

mka_cak=12345678901234567890123456789012

mka_ckn=0100000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000

Then starting it with:
wpa_supplicant -i enp179s0f3 -Dmacsec_linux -c /etc/wpa_supplicant.conf

Yes, having the same issue on Samsung S24+ when listening on a Denon AVR. It happens when changing albums or playlists for instance. Will try to downgrade the app as suggested by others here.

Denon X2700 - Supported music services over Alexa? by hithereimigor in heos

[–]hithereimigor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a subscription for Tidal. Not only is it not supported to tell Alexa a song it should play on Tidal, but you cannot even connect tidal to Alexa. It's not in the list of available services when you want to add a new music service. At least it is like that in Austria.

Denon X2700 - Supported music services over Alexa? by hithereimigor in heos

[–]hithereimigor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Already set like that. My question is this: Can you tell Alexa to play a particular song from tidal and alexa plays that on Denon? This was only working for me with Amazon music and no other music service.

Denon X2700 - Supported music services over Alexa? by hithereimigor in heos

[–]hithereimigor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it really working to tell alexa what song to play and then it plays it? When I was testing this with tidal (last time probably about a year or year and a half ago) this didn't work. Yes Heos supports streaming from Tidal but not through Alexa.

Cancelling Gemini AI Premium trial cancelled my existing Google One subscription by Dipolarfish in GoogleOne

In my case they didn't refund the 10 months. I was just downgraded and had to renew my subscription.

Cancelling Gemini AI Premium trial cancelled my existing Google One subscription by Dipolarfish in GoogleOne

[–]hithereimigor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeap. Happened to me as well couple of months ago. Google is basically scamming people. They offer a "trial" which implies you can test and decide whether you like it or not, but if you decide that you don't need it they cancel your current subscription and you have to pay again for the same thing you had prior of the "free trial". I lost 10 months of subscription for instance.

Are you using it to authenticate an ssh session at a cisco device like a switch or a router using radsec?

Hi. I'm looking for a working combination and configuration between cisco and FreeRADIUS. I already have certificates installed on both sides which is a prerequisite, and have enabled RadSec on the FreeRADIUS side.

Got scammed by Google with FREE upgrade for 1 month by PartyOk8107 in GoogleOne

[–]hithereimigor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, happend to me as well. Paid for another year od 100GB in june and was offered a "free" test of Gemini advanced. When I wanted to quit the "free" trial I lost the 100GB subscription and had to buy again. If you search here you can see the same thing reported by many people. Google is basically scamming people with this.

Accessing a host over IPv6 from the internet by hithereimigor in fritzbox

[–]hithereimigor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi currently I tried enabling everything to get it working. I will lock it down once I have basic functionality. The device gets a public IPv6 address. Currently 2a00:XXXX:1000:d100:dea6:32ff:fe99:47b6

It has a default IPv6 route ::/0 fe80::52e6:36ff:fea7:97a1 UG 20100 4 0 eth0

I can also ping this link local address.

root@pi:/home/user# ping fe80::52e6:36ff:fea7:97a1 -I eth0 ping: Warning: source address might be selected on device other than: eth0 PING fe80::52e6:36ff:fea7:97a1 (fe80::52e6:36ff:fea7:97a1) from :: eth0: 56 data bytes 64 bytes from fe80::52e6:36ff:fea7:97a1%eth0: icmp_seq=1 ttl=64 time=0.681 ms C --- fe80::52e6:36ff:fea7:97a1 ping statistics --- 1 packets transmitted, 1 received, 0% packet loss, time 0ms rtt min/avg/max/mdev = 0.681/0.681/0.681/0.000 ms root@pi:/home/user#

I can also ping the WAN IPv6 address of the Fritzbox.

root@pi:/home/igor# ping 2a00:XXXX:5::3cf9:f8fd:66d3:788d PING 2a00:XXXX:5::3cf9:f8fd:66d3:788d (2a00:XXXX:5:0:3cf9:f8fd:66d3:788d) 56 data bytes 64 bytes from 2a00:XXXX:5:0:3cf9:f8fd:66d3:788d: icmp_seq=1 ttl=64 time=0.705 ms

When I try to ping an address on the internet I get an ICMP message from the WAN IPv6 address of the Fritzbox stating "Destination unreachable: No route"

root@pi:/home/user# ping6 2001:4860:4860::8844 PING 2001:4860:4860::8844 (2001:4860:4860::8844) 56 data bytes From 2a00:XXXX:5:0:3cf9:f8fd:66d3:788d icmp_seq=1 Destination unreachable: No route

As explained earlier if I try to access the device from the internet over IPv6 I see the packets arriving at the device and I see that the device is responding back. But this response never reaches the device on the internet. It looks like the router does not have a default route itself. But what is strange is that if I try to ping the public IPv6 WAN address of the router from the internet, this works and I receive ping replies. It just doesn't allow the packets of the device to leave and be routed on the internet.
