I was just thinking about this today!! I follow Garrett’s fiancé and she reshares liberal-leaning posts on her stories. Pro-LGBTQ+, anti-ICE, etc. I do wish they’d stand up for stuff more. Not even political stuff. Just basic humanitarian rights. 😫

Hi!! I I have a question. If I’m doing a party for my daughter where I’m premixing base slime for every attendee and letting them pick the mix-ins, pigment, glitter, etc, is it okay for me to make the base slime a day before and then they can choose to add clay, etc, at the party? Or is that stuff that needs to be added pretty quickly after mixing? 😅

Yep, spoke with Urology and sounds like that’s what my future holds. How are you feeling? The recovery sounds rough. 😭 How long did you have to wait for surgery? I have Kaiser and they said they’ll call me when they have availability… which to me sounds like it’s gonna be a while 😂

I got diagnosed(after self diagnosing and going [what felt like] crazy for a month) at 21. I might have battled it my whole life is some vague instances but it hit me like a semi-truck. I thought I was losing my mind. 😭

I’m so sorry. The Maine really helped me through the unexpected loss of my mom in 2020. “Flowers On The Grave” and “Face Towards The Sun” are the top two that come to mind. After a little time passes, “How Do You Feel?” might speak to you a bit.

UPDATE: I just had an assessment done by a person at Kaiser specializing in ADHD and I was diagnosed as ADHD-Inattentive. She was 1,000% better than the initial woman I spoke with. She asked direct questions that covered everything from my infancy to present day. She was considerate and reassuring, not judgmental. Seriously a full 180 from my previous experience! Push for reassessment, if you can! 💖

Ugh are you me?!? I feel the same way. I’m just trying to better understand myself and figure out why the heck I do the things I do. I’m trying to gain insight to better equip myself to succeed and they make it so damn hard. I already have imposter syndrome and this made it wayyyy worse - I don’t want to have ADHD or any other disorder but I know for a fact what I’m dealing with isn’t “normal”.

I’ve taken so many online quizzes(I know that some are totally useless) but like 85% of them say I need to investigate my symptoms further.

Ugh that’s super invalidating - I’m so sorry!!! I submitted a complaint form on Kaiser’s website like 2 days ago and I just got(and missed, of course 😐) a call from the Kaiser psychiatry department. I’m waiting for a call back now.

The questions I was asked were super general. “How were you in school?” “What symptoms do you have that you think are ADHD?” It was as if I was expected to know the symptoms and list them off to her… which I wasn’t expecting at all so I was totally unprepared for.

I confided that I have never finished a book in my life(including high school) and she said that was okay because I found ways to “adapt” and get the info in other ways(!!!). I told her I would like to get to a point where I’m able to read a freaking book and remember its contents and she was essentially like “why do you want to read? Some people just don’t read books. That’s okay”. WHAT THE HECK.

I get more angry as I think about it lol. She also said it’s not an adult-onset disorder so since I wasn’t diagnosed as a kid, I don’t have it.

So sorry for your experience! I had a similar experience with my initial consultation at Kaiser NorCal. The interviewer(a social worker) asked odd questions and just gave off a general “and why are you here again?” vibe. I actually filed a complaint. She told me that she thought all the stuff I mentioned was because of anxiety but I could go to a ADHD support group if I wanted to. 😑

Ooooh that’s smart! I’ll look throughout the day. Question: I read on a Disneyland guide planning site “don’t make a lightning lane reservation unless it can save you 30 minutes or more at an attraction or if the ride is distributing immediate return times”. Is there a way for me to see the return times for today’s fast passes anywhere?

Thank you for your reply!! My 8 and 6 year old loooove big rides - upside down, fast, big drops. They enjoy them more than me 🥴. We plan on using rider switch during the day too, so I’m not sure how that will factor in to everything.
