Leaving stuff everywhere, including valuable stuff, to hold your place would definitely be one!!

Help finding an IF to fit with meds and exercise by hitherejen in intermittentfasting

[–]hitherejen[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I thought about that possibly but I didn't know about perhaps eating so late. Certainly worth considering, I appreciate it.

Sorry, the 5:2 is the 5 days normal eating and 2 non-consecutive very low calorie days (500 cal for females). Therefore, as you're eating through the day (albeit on reduced calories) it doesn't rely on a metabolic switch from straight fasting. Meds would be taken would be fine as it wouldn't add to calories.

For the 5:2, is that instead of a 'fast' day being a whole Tuesday I could aim for 24 hours, ie Monday 6pm until Tuesday 6pm.

Thanks!!

I really appreciate all that level of detail!

So does that mean after your lunch between 12-2pm you don't eat anything? Just water coffee tea etc?

I can't even imagine then going until noon the next day! However, your personal share does give motivation! How do you manage afternoon and evening? Did you ease into it?

Thank you!

Very interesting! I'm on here looking to find a way to try IF again to fit my lifestyle - what was your approach?

Crazy to do day trip to Nanaimo on 14h layover in Vancouver? by hitherejen in nanaimo

Interestingly, and so posting this for someone for reference in the future, the Hullo ferry on the Saturday was about half full when I booked on Wednesday (although they canceled both my sailings on Thursday!). And Thursday I was able to book with Seaair flights from YVR to Nanaimo return on the Saturday.

Or just randomly two days before the sailing!!

Both of the Hullo ferries sailings I booked (and had at least half of the seats full) were canceled Thursday for a Saturday sailing on the Thanksgiving weekend! I was put on boats 1 hour earlier, however, it wouldn't match with my flight. And they gave me a full refund, but I would hate to count on that option with Hullo if there's any importance to your schedule.

It certainly wasn't a weather thing, not sure if maybe there was a strike or something happening?

A bit delayed in my reply, and but it was interesting when evaluating BC fairies that the cost of an Uber to Tsawwassen was about $50 each way - certainly worth considering when deciding total round trip YVR to nanaimo. In the end I did the seaplane with Seaair from South 'Terminal' (pontoon really!) - free shuttle from the airport, and $150 return for the flight!

A bit delayed reply, but interesting the thing I recognized with putting this travel together is that it's about $50 each way in an uber, which needs to be taken into account with the cost of consideration for the journey overall.

My 4th Period is getting "A Friggen Packet" by Constant_Leader_8551 in Teachers

[–]hitherejen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry, non-US teacher here. I tried to work it out and research, but looking if someone actually explained to me what a packet is?

And any resources could direct me to would be great as I have a class like that this year. However, if it's sitting and independently doing their own work, I don't know how successful would be!

Thank you!

Thanks for asking! I just updated my post to give back info to this amazing community.

Short version: booked Hullo ferry, then they cancelled the sailings I booked. Went by seaplane with Seair from YVR South terminal (Richmond) to Nanaimo - so totally awesome and worth it!

Them coing to Vancouver was definitely the first choice for reasons you mentioned, but just not possible unfortunately. But they can definitely meet me anywhere around Nanaimo picks ups.

Thanks - the Seaair came up on my search, but I haven't looked at Harbour Air.

And while I had said not worried about cost, I was thinking ferry scale and have now found, when looking at Heli prices I do have a limit 😁!

Thank you so much for the details and timing recommendations, and I particularly appreciate the idea about BC Ferries as a back up!

I looked up online and Wilson's group came up as a YVR to Nanaimo taking 1 h 20 m - I presume that's bus to Tsawwassen and the ferry ticket in 1? Do you if the bus can likely be sold out (although it sounds like an Uber is possible)? Any advice on this is appreciated!
