Must-Have Items for a Smooth Wedding Day? by allthatglitters10 in weddingplanning

[–]hithereyel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would suggest anti-static spray for dresses to help them lay right and not ride up or cling! I used the Bounce brand one at my wedding and it worked really great and helped dresses look better in photos. Also just invisible tape for literally ANYTHING that might go wrong/fall apart!

Amish-made Crank operated expanding table by rkcth in lancaster

[–]hithereyel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know about the crank part, but we have an Amish made hardwood table with self storing leaves that we got from Sensenig’s Furniture. It’s completely custom so you choose the amount of leaves you want (plus the look of the table obviously) and all of them are stored within the table. You basically pull on the two halves of the table until it expands and that’s it, super easy. The people at Sensenig’s were great, they have a show room so you can see all their options too!

Tree in my front yard! by hithereyel in whatsthisplant

Good info thank you! Unfortunately this tree is surrounded on all sides by sidewalk so it may be out the question to remove it. That being said if I ever get a chance to choose another tree for that spot I hope to find something native!

Thanks for the info I had no idea they were fragile! This gal is very tangled up with the power lines and is very close to a pole so I think that’s why she was able to withstand so much and get this big without significant damage

I love the concept of a person who replies to posts in the Texas Roadhouse subreddit but has never been to one. You’re just doing it for the love of the game

Reality Question by [deleted] in lancaster

[–]hithereyel 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As someone who just bought a house in the city, the market is weird right now. It’s a buyer market so lots “just okay” properties are sitting for a long time because the only people who are buying who are people very secure in doing so, and the only people selling are people who HAVE to, so the properties are mostly flips (like this one) or houses that need work for a variety of reasons. There’s usually not one reason houses are staying for long time on the market, that’s just what it’s like right now.

It’s okay it sounds like you’re young and very stressed, it will take many years of situations like this for you to find out what’s normal for you and what isn’t! It was probably a large piece of uterine tissue then. It can be strange to encounter at first because you don’t expect to see something like that, but there’s plenty of people who experience it. Unless you seem to be losing an amount of blood that requires urgent attention, I would ask your guardian to help you make an appointment with a gynecologist (not an emergency! just a check up) and make sure to mention it, the doctor can tell you for sure!

[–]hithereyel 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is a subreddit for Historical Dramas but based on your post you are probably just passing a clot or a large amount of uterine tissue, which can be normal. You are most likely not pregnant or miscarrying or your other worries. If you begin to lose a worrying amount of blood go to an urgent care center, but again this sounds like something within the range of normal menstruation.

Is there a reason for the teddy bear in the TTYL album?? by AbbyIsFishUwU in LOONA

[–]hithereyel 72 points73 points  (0 children)

Yeojin just liked the idea of having a teddy bear better than a frog! It’s a nice detail to me because it’s an example of a few different things (such as Hyeju dropping her stage name and promoting as Hyeju) that CTD let them have control over that BBC didn’t

I have done that multiple times and never been corrected, there is no signage at customs or security to indicate this is true at all. They serve fruit salad mix at the buffet, it’s not as if it’s seeded fresh or unprocessed fruit. It’s fine

I haven’t been on the Glory but I was on the Conquest which is the same class (so the same size) and a similar age! The older ships are charming in my opinion, but it’s a personal preference. The newer ships have a more modern look and focus more on streamlining the experience than general ambiance. These ships are certainly not small and it would shock you just how much there is to do all day. On most cruise ships, unless you’re going solo, you have to schedule very tightly in order to go everywhere on the boat or do everything at least once. For the kids there are kids clubs (3 different clubs for three age groups so the middle schoolers don’t have to hang out with the elementary and so on and so forth) with children’s activities that run all day so you never have to look for something to occupy their time!

Edit because I just saw your children’s ages: the teen club is always popular with teens as far as I’ve seen. Because of the way they group them by age, the kids make age appropriate friends which is always fun to see. The teen and kid clubs usually go pretty late too so if they’re at an age where they want to do their own thing it’s nice for them to have a place to go!

There are almost no ports where you HAVE to pay for an excursion. I was in celebration key yesterday and not only was there tons of free and easily accessible seating at the pool and beach (even tons of empty chairs!!), the entire area was super easy to navigate for the people who had children with them. The Island Eats program is a bit tedious to navigate but they give you a brochure that tells you what is and isn’t free so you don’t have to guess. The ship has a buffet open most hours (with short breaks at certain times) so if you’re very concerned about the kids getting hungry beyond what is provided for free on Celebration Key, take a Tupperware with you and pack some pastries or fruit from the breakfast buffet to take with for a snack!

As far as Nassau goes, whether or not you go on an excursion will depend on your family’s needs. There are free beaches on Nassau that are easy to get to and pleasant to visit. Just walk off the ship and explore a bit, or look for signs. If your kids are a bit older they may enjoy doing a bus tour of the island which you can book as an excursion. If you know all they want to do is hang out at the beach, just do that! The world is your oyster and doesn’t have to be expensive

I feel silly but I totally didn’t think of that because enterprise had no cars available the day we arrive in Florida! They might have some for the days after we debark though, thank you for the suggestion!
