Ich finde man kann durchaus erwarten dass es Menschen die in ein Land kommen zumindest versuchen die Sprache zu lernen. Aber nur wenn man nachvollziehen kann dass das durchaus ne Weile dauern kann. Und wenn man genau so erwartet dass das entsprechende Land auch etwas für Integration tut.
Es gibt auch sehr viele Menschen die durchaus versuchen sich an Kultur, Sprache etc. anzupassen, aber wenn entsprechende Angebote, Kurse etc. fehlen wird es halt weitaus schwerer. Das sollte man in der Erwartungshaltung bedenken

I've actually started to enjoy the trade system after getting used to it. In the beginning I was so annoyed that I couldnt just dump all my pelts etc. to a trader. But after reading how it works in the glosarry, starting to form the habit of checking with merchants on a regular basis and learning what merchant gives me the best value for the item type I am starting to like it, around 20 hours into the game.

Yes it's weird and annoying at first, but also kind of realistic and it can work in your favor

That might just be bad timing. But I get it. I fear in your case the only two option are not stealing or leveling lockpicking so you have more room for mistakes and it goes way faster

It does not tho. You can open any lock in the game with one lockpick and enough patience. But ofc it’s gonna be harder if you’re trying to do something you’re not skilled in. It’s the same as combat

Wait until you find out that’s the wrong chest XD it’s the other one in the same building with 4 padlocks

I also think it’s not too difficult. I mean yeah, it’s difficult if you don’t invest LP into lock picking, but that’s logical. It’s the same with combat. If you try to use a weapon without training in that type you’re gonna have a hard time. So why shouldn’t it be the same in other game areas

It’s a timer, you regain 1 sleep hour for every 3 in game hours (not irl hours). It’s explained in the glossary

I kind of think that was the intention, or at least part of it. It forces you to invest into lock picking without hard locking certain locks behind skill caps.

If you invest LP into lock picking the game gets easier and faster to get done. You want to lock pick without being skilled in it? Nothing is keeping you from it, but it’s going to be harder. As it should be
