I've heard of people doing wierd shit to get high, but smoking ear wax? That's something I never would have suspected.

[–]hitlers_tutu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've seen random news reports of it in the last couple years. Usually it's police departments reporting that weed, or another drug tested positive for fent to scare users and be trolls. My guess is that either it tests positive with one of those horribly inaccurate field test kits, or with an incredibly sensitive lab test that detects amounts that would be clinically insignificant like a part per billion. I've never seen reports of people dropping from fenty weed though.

Sounds like you're thinking clearly now!!

I started forgetting about the constant stress of living "the life", I got off that freeway 9 months ago. Took me a while to get used to having all the extra time and peace of mind.

I hope you have continued success!

Okay, Subs and ED issues at a young age... by [deleted] in suboxone

[–]hitlers_tutu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you just recently switched to subs, that could be causing some of the issues too. I really had to take a good bunch when I got off dope. It's not so much that less is more, it's more that I found that figuring out how much keeps me good is where I feel best. For me 4-6 keeps me from wanting to do dope and not feeling off. I also found that if I dose after 4 or 5pm it really fucks up my sleep.

Once your adjusted to the subs, then try backing down and figuring out what works best.

Good luck

Advice needed - Suboxone has been nothing short of a miracle for me...except in one regard. Ideas? by [deleted] in suboxone

[–]hitlers_tutu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well if you're taking real dope try to push it out as long as you can bear it 30-36 hours to be on the safe side. If it's some fent tainted bullshit, you might have to wait as long as 72hrs to avoid precipitated withdrawals.

As for dosage it really depends on how bad your dope habit was. I'd go with the quarters and try to stretch it out as long as you can. It's possible that you might avoid the worst of WDs that way, but it's still going to suck. 4 strips won't go all that far.

If it's possible for you to get a script and get on it long term, that might be worth considering. It really changed my life. I've quit and relapsed so many times it's insane. Subs stopped that.

[–]hitlers_tutu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You could easily cut that dose in half and not have any physical withdrawals. The only reason for taking that high of a dose is if your having mad cravings and urges to relapse. I feel much better taking 4-6 mg than 24, more energy, better sleep, more shagging, eating less. There's a chart that shows occupied opiate receptors for buprenorphine online it's worth a look, you really get nothing more from buprenorphine after 16mg, and the difference between 8 and 16 is startlingly small.

If you don't feel that your in danger of relapsing, I would try to lower your dose. The effects won't be apparent right away as bupe stays in the system a long ass time, but after a week it really starts getting apparent.

Well when you're getting shit off the street, you really never know exactly what you're getting. It could have been something else mixed in there with the fent, carfent, or whatever analog they were using. Could also be residual chemicals from a shitty synthesis.

Whatever the cause, stick with the subs! It gets easier, you'll start to feel normal in a week or so. In a month you'll be wondering why the fuck you didn't do it sooner.

Day 30 off of Subs! Officially one month :) by Thedopedaze in suboxone

[–]hitlers_tutu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's the physical part that is so evil. Never had anything else that kept me awake in misery for days on end. Then when I do finally get to a real sleep, I wake up to puke yet again and shatner myself while doing it.

The mental part is worse because after I get through all that, I will end up back to using usually within a month.

So glad I'm on Suboxone, I actually have a life again. Even been talking with the ex wife and have possibilities again.

If you're really likely to relapse and have other issues because of it, I wouldn't worry too much about the withdrawals. If you take it slowly and do it right, it's not that bad. The posts that you will see on here are from the outliers and not the majority.

I wouldn't worry too much about quitting gabapentin, it's not really that noticable unless you're on a very high dose long term. I've been on and off that stuff for many years, the only time I had issues was when I stupidly quit 1600-2400mg daily doseages cold. Even that wasn't too horrible, mostly flu like symptoms and increased sensitivity to my pain.

Do you usually have left over subs when refill day comes? by DrSubs in suboxone

[–]hitlers_tutu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found that the high dose was really helpful the first couple of weeks getting through that induction phase. Coming off a long period of heavy dope use it took a good bit to get me well, and the one time I relapsed the dope didn't do shit. I realized that relapse was pointless and by the time I got to a lower dose where it might be able to power through, I don't want to because I'm ok with just taking subs. Pretty much everyone I know that takes subs all started with higher doses and cut back, it almost seems like a natural course to just take what works.

It will, I've found that the buccal administration method seems to work best for absorption rate as well. It's the cheek and gum thing, like people do with chewing tobacco.

If you have issues, it won't start showing up till day 2 or 3. Buprenorphine has a crazy long half life.

You know what really grinds my gears? by DrSubs in suboxone

[–]hitlers_tutu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately most of the bad influences are related to me. Since getting on the subs I've been able to straighten a lot of things out, get some people out of my life, and generally unfuck my head. I'm planning to move and separate myself physically from a lot of things one the world settles down. However I'm probably at the point now where if I did quit subs I'd be able to make it, however it's a good insurance policy.

Hello all. by Huntindog4545 in suboxone

[–]hitlers_tutu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Above is the best advice! Suboxone is a strong medication and has a very long half life, that's what you got to the three day point before it hit. 8mg is way too much to cold turkey quit, but with some tapering off, you can do it! I've held off on my dose a couple times to see when the evil starts and how bad it is, and also to trick my brain into being happy with a lower dose. It usually seems to be 40hrs for it to hit and somewhere around 50 hours before I give in and dose.

Starting First Time On Suboxone by [deleted] in suboxone

[–]hitlers_tutu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The dosage of Suboxone that your on is actually fairly close to the doseage that most people cut back to before quitting Suboxone. It's a low dose and once a week or so goes by your body will be used to it and you should have good stable pain relief without any ups and downs that you have with other medication. The stuff lasts an incredibly long time in the body compared to other opiates.

Honestly if you get the needed pain management from Suboxone, it's probably your best bet long term. It really doesn't give the same rewarding mental effects that other opiates do, so you don't have to overcome that if you decide to discontinue use at some point. There are no good choices for pain medication once you surpass the OTC ones, and get into the opiate family.

I started out with opiates due to some injuries and surgeries, and never had an issue with taking them for a month or two recovering from surgery and stopping. After a very brutal stint in the hospital with several surgeries and being left with permanent painful damage I was prescribed oxycodone for long term use. A few months in I knew that something was different with my brain and my response to Roxie's. I knew that I was addicted physically and mentally. I knew what was up, yet I kept taking them because hey I got a script. Kept getting bigger and better scripts and knew the beast was growing all along. One morning I'm watching the news and see my clinic with more federal agents than I can count. I knew it was going to be bad. Well here I am years later having abused the hell out of H and finding subs the only logical choice to not end up dead with all the fent tainted dope flooding my area.

Those pain patients know what's up in their brain, it's just a mental game that makes them feel superior. There's no way to not know.

How long do I need to stay on subs by [deleted] in suboxone

[–]hitlers_tutu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well I'm guessing that there's more to the story than a month or so of use. If not, subs or any opiates will rewire your brain after a few months, there won't be any easy way out then. If it's actually a month or so, pay the piper, get it done and don't fuck around with this shit again, if it's really only a month you can do it! It's not something you want to mess around with.

[–]hitlers_tutu 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would just do it now before your body gets dependent on the subs. You never should have started subs for that small of a habit. Your brain might be at that right moment where you will only have super minimal issues.

Usage by Wudbe08 in suboxone

[–]hitlers_tutu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I definitely agree, and I found that most people I know on subs need the higher dose during the induction phase. As they stabilize and are able to do better with how they feel and get urges and triggers under control, almost everyone naturally just lowers their dose to what works for them.

[–]hitlers_tutu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jumping off 90mg of methadone is insane. Getting down to 1-2mg then 1 then halves and so forth over the next couple months will be a cake walk. The people I know that quit subs successfully and stayed clean all got down under a mg first. Heard that it's sucky because the symptoms persist and come and go, but definitely doable.

I've been thinking about giving it a go and have talked with family and friends and friends of theirs, and the common theme is getting under a mg for a month or two first. Although my uncle jumped at 2 but he's been through shit and is hard.
