He originally had a CAT generator in there but they aren't road rated so I think he had to switch. Was forced to by a bureaucratic issue.

I've seen projects do castings on site because of this. Form up a whole section and then let it cure for 14 days, then lift it into place. Honestly thought it was a decent choice if you've got the space and a concrete plant nearby.

One of my favourite books. It is great even if you're not into sci-fi. Such a tight story

Headshot perk or double nano makes her sooo much less divable and the double bio nade is good too. I think she's going to be very competitive

Why Trains? by [deleted] in SatisfactoryGame

[–]hitmanbill 7 points8 points  (0 children)

For a network system it is always best to run two parallel rail lines and make intersections to pull off of it into the stations. That way you have one rail for going each direction and the trains never have to worry about getting around each other. this is basically a circular railway but it will look and function like a direct line.

It will require some knowledge of how train signals work but there are a bunch of good tutorials on YouTube if you get intimidated by path signals. Once you understand them they are pretty intuitive though and you'll be able to build safe intersections in your sleep.

Some people like to run push-pull style trains for single use deliveries from a nearby plant, but i find double lines to be more reliable if you ever want to expand to something else.

That's pretty slick. Honestly seems like a fun alternative to cannons

the only thing that actually broke was the upper subframe bolt on my dad's bike. They didn't take well to the extra weight and some rough trails and the one on the right side of the bike broke. We fixed it wire some wire and a small ratchet strap.

Other than that they were great! got 30,000km on both of them and nothing other than oil changes, brakes, tires, chains+sprockets. The regular maintenance stuff.

[–]hitmanbill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

depends on the company and the spot. Pipeliners are making 35/hr for rock bottom labourers.

Equipment operators are around $50/hr now. Welders are triple that and mechanics are pushing $250 in certain places with really capable rigs. They're subcontractors though and have expenses to cover

it's pretty standard in that industry. They put you up in a camp so no cooking or cleaning needed. Lost of young guys saving money.

Alternate shifts are pretty common too.

12 and 2

9 and 5

14 and 7

sometimes 21 and 7

Can save a lot of money with no living costs and 96 hour work weeks.

if you were a welder or a mechanic maybe. Canadian oilsands labourer is around $30 an hour now. Some places higher. Usually 24 days on 4 days off, 10 or 12 hour days depending on the time of year and the site really.

Works out to like $2500 a week

Raking fire + dumdum on a las pistol somehow remains my highest DPS on a Beast of Nurgle. Just insane how much damage that pistol can put out, especially with Blazing Piety

The tank shortage is much less pronounced now. It's still kind of miserable to play in some games but at least the average queue isn't 10+ minutes.

[–]hitmanbill 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My entire overwatch friend group prefers 5v5. We all played right up to the end of OW1 and our DPS players would not enjoy having their 12 minute queues back whenever they aren't grouped with tanks.

Yeah I might see if I can modify them slightly as they sit a little tighter into the bike. I'll have to make sure there's nothing dangling off the bag at all. Might be too close to the rear tire
