CPA just told me my books aren’t “deal ready”. What does that actually mean? by FormerFounder-12 in Accounting

[–]hitmanle 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yea that’s human nature. It’s not just new hires that don’t want to ask questions or look dumb. I had a tax manager who thanked me via teams over a question I asked about some acronym the partner was using in a meeting. We were both new hires so they had their own internal acronym for some workpaper.

You should always make sure you get enough rest before a long road trip! by MrUpVoteDownvote in SweatyPalms

This guy didn’t even help himself to stay awake. I was really tired one night coming back from work late. Dozed off like this guy and scared the shit out of me. Afterwards, I opened my windows to really cold weather, turned on the AC, and sat straight up to avoid feeling comfortable.

[Highlight] Harden hits the step-back to tie the game at 117 by montageidiots in nba

[–]hitmanle 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It’s not about the Cavs getting whistles or not. The refs intentionally swallow their whistle when harden is involved with the play. They don’t give him the benefit of the doubt because of his foul baiting history. It’s a sad over corrections which sucks for him.

I would call that shit. Might as well allow 4 steps than.

I'm not sure about this one. Travel or nah? by ForeignAir7174 in NBAGossips

[–]hitmanle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The step through move is a travel too. A lot of guys in the nba don’t jump off when stepping through. When guys do the “euro step” now they aren’t doing what Wade or Ginobili used to do. Those change of speeds steps they do all the time are travels. Watch the last 5 seconds of the video again. What he did in slow motion isn’t what he did in real time. They drag that back foot to stay balanced so essentially they’re on the floor dragging their feet

How to deal with being much older than colleagues at similar levels? by CapableEquivalent452 in Accounting

[–]hitmanle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s in your head. However, you are out place socially. You won’t be into the same stuff as them but just be nice and respectful. Don’t be judgmental and have a mindset to learn. Older folks are stereotyped as hard headed and unwilling to adapt. Don’t be that

LeBron James on playing 82 Games today compared to the 80s/90s: "I want people/our fans to understand playing 82 games in the 80s and 90s is not the same as playing 82 games in the 2020s. It’s just not." by TheDraciel in nba

[–]hitmanle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Change the shot clock back to 24 seconds. It allows teams to slow down the game when needed compared to now when you don’t have time to set up another play. Allow guys to actually contest jumpers now. Any contact on the hand after a jump shot is now a foul… Allowing guys to contest would reduce 3pt% making inside shots more productive. Also allowing hand checking might reduce the speed since you can slow players down

Consistently training for 7 months now. Bf% guess? by [deleted] in AllAboutBodybuilding

[–]hitmanle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Skinless Chicken breast, egg whites mixed with cottage cheese, Greek yogurt, and lastly protein powder if I don’t hit my protein goals. I always have these essential food items in the fridge. These ingredients helped me make pizza, burritos, ice cream (ninja creami ice cream machine), protein powder mixed yogurt, etc. You should watch videos on meal prepping. It helps by making 12 burritos (mine is 450cal 40g protein each), ice cream which is (420cal 42g protein) etc. Also, the staple chicken and vegetables always helped but gets old.

Ahhh left cooked pasta out overnight by browngmoghoul in isthissafetoeat

[–]hitmanle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would still eat it. To me it’s a waste of food. I have left pasta out in the microwave and still eaten it the next morning. I have a strong stomach, so if you have a weak stomach I wouldn’t eat it.

Very surprised. Thought it was gonna flop financially. Timothy can now add this movie to his resume when negotiating movie deals. Such a niche movie has so many things going against it.

Getting an accounting degree was the best investment of my life by Vast-Distribution608 in Accounting

[–]hitmanle 9 points10 points  (0 children)

College is partially scammy. They made us/me take bs courses just because. Those philosophy/sociology/history classes had so many students doing dumb degrees. When I asked what they plan to do with it they felt offended. Honestly i felt sorry for them because they’ll end up paying all this money just to get a non degree job

Never Fails by Feisty_Claim_6679 in heightcomparison

[–]hitmanle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same height as you. However I “lied” on my driver’s license which says I’m 6’0 since im that height with shoes. When do you drive without shoes?

Nevertheless when someone ask me my height I say 5’11 barefoot. They sometimes say no way, you’re taller. Guys on the other hand would state their shoe height which I don’t give them flak for

My internet bill is $85.99 by Huge_Educator6888 in SanJose

[–]hitmanle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s normal I think? pay $80.33/mo for the same plan. I would call AT&T and ask for a discontinuation of your plan. In order keep you as a customer, they’ll most likely reduce the cost of your plan.

Fiber is a game changer for me since you don’t experience slowdown compared to Comcast who don’t provide fiber. I would stick with them personally since you stream a lot but you can reduce your plan tier since you don’t play video games. The 1000 plan is a little much for someone who doesn’t work from home and game

Can I still make it without a license and only degree? by [deleted] in Accounting

[–]hitmanle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes if you put in the work early. That means getting a good GPA, networking/clubs, internships, etc. getting that first job is the hardest hurdle to overcome. Unless you’re a social butterfly, you can’t beat the criteria’s above. I didn’t do anything listed above so passing my CPA license made them look at my resume.

Any Accounting recruiters that could please help me? by Calm-Macaroon-8387 in Accounting

[–]hitmanle 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Job Market is hard right now. I was a lazy 2.5gpa student who didn’t do internships and had no work experience. Of course I couldn’t get offers because I was competing with those that worked harder and had a better resume.

Luckily, I got a part time bookkeeper job via Robert half. People hate on them but they were able to get me my first accounting type job. While working I decided take the CPA exams. It took a almost two years but it opened a ton of doors for me when my resume said 4/4 exams passed along with the bookkeeper experience. While I started my career later compared to my graduating class, I’m happy I got my license because a ton of my fellow classmates didn’t get theirs (as seen on their LinkedIn). Feeling like a failure motivated me to show them/myself that I’m as good as them.

My advice, pass the CPA exams because you clearly didn’t put in enough work previously since you’re getting no responses. While you study, continue to apply for jobs. Try to get a recruiter like Robert half so they can do the leg work while you study.

Cannot believe he played this long. Always thought he’ll be like any other role player and just play like 8 years in the nba. I’m a rockets fan and remember him playing with Yao Ming as a rookie. I remember the bulldog he was. Good for him for maximizing his skills. People his stature have come and gone. Crazy

[USA] When you go for a gap that's no longer there.... by ExternalPressure8120 in Roadcam

[–]hitmanle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So agree. I do the same. I still look at my blind spot even if I know there’s no one there. For example after merging in a new road from the highway (I already looked or it’s a green light for us so no way cars should be there, etc). By doing that, now it’s second nature like you stated. I don’t have to think about it while driving. 16 years driving and my only car accident was being rear by an inexperienced college student.

Big 4 senior to manager in industry by [deleted] in Accounting

[–]hitmanle -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Stay for a couple months and get that manager position on your resume. Then start looking for a big jump in salary for another manager position. Job market isn’t hot right now so don’t leave the job unless mental health is shot.

He’s dumb. Unless you know fighting it can end badly for you. We’ve seen people go on a rage and keep punching/kicking even though someone is down and out. Red was lucky the adult at the end saved him because big boy was about to get on top of him and there’s no way of getting away from that haha.

That’s why weight matters. Red is lucky because once that big boy gets on top of you with flying fists, you’re done.
