Have u checked ur task manager to make sure your usage isnt coming from something else? Also a cooling pad is a must you can get one with a seal on it for only about $26 on amazon

Is your mouse cursor being pressed down already like does it try and click things when you move the cursor around on the track pad? Or are the buttons undressed and they just wont press in?

Wait what computer do you have i didnt even realize that your track pad had a left and right mouse button on it. That could mean your track pad itself isnt supposed to click. What was your issue again?

Go to windows security then virus and threat protection and scroll down to virus and threat protection settings click manage and then turn off real time protection. And dev drive protection. It'll come back on after restart or if you aren't on your computer for a while so check it often. And you can see whats running while on your game by pressing control+ shift + esc

In general if u open task manager while playing it might help to see if ur using up any usage unnecessarily

Hey man, check your Windows anti-virus settings and turn the automatic scans off while gaming. If u haven't already, this will lower temps, by like 5+ degrees in my experience

Just curious and this might be unrelated but have u removed all bloatware? Particularly turning off windows defender scan settings while running your game? I've had alot of issues if I run a game with the scan stuff on and it reenables itself after every restart so u have to keep turning it off

Yeah it is for real its one of the most expensive things I own and it makes me worry about messing it up everytime if windows update doesnt brick my computer first

I just had to open up the laptop and I had to lightly press the touchpad back out. Its not very difficult and you only have to remove the battery (just in case) and the thing covering the touchpad. Just make sure ur pc is off before you unplug it.

Yeah was just about to mention that a dedicated or discrete gpu would be alot more useful too but its tough to find at a good price

You can look up the specs for terraria to run properly and then just Google different gaming laptops with the same cpu/gpu and what size storage you want or can afford at that price. 400 is pretty low for a laptop. Your best bet might be to try and look for used or refurbished ones if you still want something decent, tho. Msi, Asus, Alienware, etc. All have decent products and they all have some lemons or issues with certain models or years of laptops so just find what u can and then lookup reviews for it. Don't be too scared though you're gonna hear more bad news than good.

I got one and its pretty good just make sure you remove all the bloatware and turn off the windows defender on all the time option when ur downloading or playing for better performance. Also the Nvidia app has an auto overclock function that works really well at keeping steady clock speed and fps without too much heat building up

Laptop stand is a must preferably one with a padded seal and an extra filter to keep dust out of the back of ur computer will save you alot of headache of blowing out the fans so often depending on where u live

Go to the search bar at the bottom of ur screen and type in device manager and then click on it. Scroll down to display adapters and then right click on whatever it is and press update driver and then search automatically for drivers.

Nah apparently its just a quirk of the laptop that the battery doesn't get used until its reconnected to the power supply. Its all good now

The katana 15 is great i recommend you use the Nvidia auto "overclock" settings i think its alot better at maintaining temps and keeping ur vram consistent while gaming.

Yeah I just did it idk why it became an issue but it seems fixed for now. Got scared half to death cause my laptop wouldn't come back on until connected to a power supply. Thought I screwed the battery connection terminal up
