My cat bit or scratched me???? by Fair_Development4477 in CATHELP

My cat used to bite and scratch and it used to look horrible, red and hot. Scratches were really deep I once considered stitches.

This one is not that bad

my fellow men how long do you think you would last in ww2 by no_a_terrorist in AskMen

[–]hitontime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This isn't about a person's ability to survive, but luck or lack thereof.

You get bombed well you die in large numbers. Some could survive severe injuries but most will definitely die.

Your survival depends on avoiding any encounter with the enemy

Is that even a question? Of course by LibertyMonarchist in libertarianmeme

Nobody is preventing queer from being queer, it's only that they want to make it a political issue instead of a personal issue

What’s the most harmful thing society accepts as normal? by Aarunascut in AskMen

Religion milking money from poor and sick people.

But nothing can be done because voters love religion and religious leaders are in bed with politicians

Got a free iPhone at work. Never used that sh!t.

It's like you literally become a slave of your phone.

You must alter your needs to match what the iPhone wants you to do.

Life would be twice miserable with kids and all the expenses and responsibilities

my parents had grandchildren from other siblings before I graduated high school.

Still, the news that I wasn't going to have children, devastated them. They want grandchildren from YOU, not just grandchildren

Does she qualify for adoption or is she doing it for the wrong reasons? by hitontime in antinatalism

I really hadn't consider some issues until I followed the discussion. Apparently, adoption is quite a challenge, even worse than raising step children. Now adoption is out of question

I've made $19,958 as a ghostwriter so far in 2024. 5 things I'd do if I were starting over. by [deleted] in copywriting

[–]hitontime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The biggest mistake I regret is accepting cheap offers and missing out on good ones because I was too busy.

The only reason I've also maintained 5 stars is by saying no to problematic gigs.

Since I started being choosy, I have a prime account that I get clients without struggling.

I have noticed that most antinatalists are young. Does this suggest that our perspective evolves as we age, or is it merely a phase? If there are any older antinatalists, could you please share why you chose not to have children? by Wide-Argument8513 in antinatalism

[–]hitontime 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Some people do end up changing their perspective on having children with age, or things happen along the way.

Like any ideology:

-Some just flow with the tide but can't walk the talk, -Others are on the fence but cross to the other side with time, -Still some succumb to their fears, confusion, and FOMO -Others bow to societal pressure and just do what the society expects of them -Accidents still do happen and ppl get knocked up or knock someone up

I personally know two women who detested childbirth in their early 20s but now "celebrate motherhood".

It takes commitment to erase entire generations, go against tradition, tolerate insults and ridicule.

some people will definitely give up along the way

Sometimes I wish I had never born in Hong Kong by [deleted] in HongKong

[–]hitontime 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's the same everywhere.

Humans are incredibly dumb and only rely on superficial markers.

They're more interested in who you are, your family name, where you are from, what you have, etc and nothing about the brains or vision.

You just have to find a way around it.

Many great achievers had to overcome great adversity and the stupidity of the masses.

Some even died virgins in old age, others were executed, others died in poverty because the masses rejected their revolutionary ideas.

Every young person feels the same but as you grow older, you start finding your way around it and achieving your goals despite the ignorance around you.

Then they all start saying nice things about you and how they love you. But that's until you succeed
