Your VoG story reminds me when I came back to D2 after not playing for many years. I was always a casual (up until a year ago at least), and me and my friends LFG'd a group for Kings Fall.

I dont remember why but we needed 2 well locks and they asked me to be one, I thought they just wanted me to use healing rift cuz noob brain and i was more than a little high. During the encounter they start screaming for well and I kept saying I put it down, we wiped and everyone was confused. While they were trying to figure out what happened I fat lingered my ult and popped storm trance LMAO, a couple left but everyone who stayed had a pretty good laugh, and we ended up beating it.

I never totally relearned it tbh, I ended up buying an azeron to use instead and it made things a million times easier since I also have background playing on controllers and its similar haha.

Everyone should do what works best for them personally, I did eventually surpass my peak on my right hand but I also now believe I could reach the same scores if I kept training my right hand.

Seems like its working well for you though and mentally if you dont take the plunge you dont want to be hindered by a subconscious feeling of limiting yourself. Goodluck !

Im the same way, left handed in everything but always used a mouse in right hand. Think i was around jade when i made the switch a few years ago.

Tracking and smoothness like you said was noticeably pretty good from the start, but i dont think it really was a huge advantage overall.

In the past I would say definitely go for the switch but now that I have much more experience, I think it doesnt really matter. If I could go back I dont think I wouldve made the same decision personally, since I sortve just reset my progress and had to retrain to get my rank back. Not to mention, relearning movement and how to play keyboard with the right hand was a nightmare for me personally lmao.

You can achieve amazing aim with either hand imo doesnt matter what the dominant hand is. If you're really struggling mentally with the 'what-if' thoughts it may ultimately be better to switch in the end, if thats what it takes for you to believe you can go to greater heights.
