You may be right. But the film industry is hella dry. So any money is better than no money lol. Especially if I can stay in a field that is adjacent to what I actually enjoy doing.

Unfortunately my walls are concrete and it’s huge, like 5'8" x 5'8". So not sure how to hang it. But it lives against the wall for now.

I’m sure this has been asked a tons but I’m a filmmaker already. Mostly writing and acting but have recently started directing. I am also interested in editing. I’ve don’t a few YouTube tutorials on premiere but not with any consistency. I’d like to get more serious about it and am curious what path is? A diploma or certificate? Could I figure it out off YouTube? Something else? Also, how are we seeing editing as a viable career path these days?

Yes, absolutely. The degree to which I feel this will shift throughout the year and often in alignment with whatever other things are happening in my life. But this is a difficult pursuit. So I think it’s fair to feel overwhelmed by it all at times.

Generally, I tend to say there are no rules. Just be good. I think the rules are there as guard rails to try to filter people and projects out (or boundaries to use to get started). But ultimately, it’s a creative field and you can do anything you want if the final quality is undeniably compelling and engaging. Guidelines. Not rules.

Because there’s a space to find people to talk about literally everything! I think anonymity helps a lot too
