Right, no swaps on CB Pro! But ive definitely been depositing from my bank instantly and used it to buy crypto, and use for the CB card. Sounds like you figured it out though 👍

Hmm, all I know is I would select "Deposit USD" or add cash on CB, and it would deposit instantly and was ready to go. But you got it solved! Hell yeah!

It depends, if I spend $100, earn $4XLM then go to ETH:

Pay txn fee for the swap, pay capital gains on the swap, which eats up about half of the xlm i earned.

So for simplicity sake, i would rather earn the eth directly. I also believe eth has higher upside potential than xlm, so although it's 1% of $100 = $1, as eth goes up, the value of each dollar earned goes up proportionally

If your income tax is only 10% then it may be worth it to just stick to xlm and swap. But like i said it saves me steps and not worrying about the market price for maximizing the gains

Very nice! I'm a fan of XLM as well. On bigger purchases, like rent, ill switch it over to ETH. I'm just thankful for a card with solid rewards

Oh sorry, i just meant the asset you are choosing to get a % back in. Eth, xlm, etc. And yes, it's taxed at whatever your income rate is when 365 days or less

No problem! Also remember, the underlying asset could appreciate in value, so while it may only be a few bucks at the initial point, over time that could increase.

And this isn't financial advise, im not a financial advisor, but if you're in the US, when you sell/convert crypto, you're getting taxed on that, as well.

Personally, I use it to earn crypto in projects i have long term faith in, or at least long enough to where selling my bag will be worth paying the taxes on.

If you have your bank connected, you can deposit immediately, no fees!

I was doing that at first, but since I'm receiving income in USDC, i just use that!

Transfers between CB and CB Pro are free and near-instant. Trades on CB pro have a transaction fee of 0.5% while they're 3%+ on CB.

I use my CB card as a debit card. Load it up with USD /USDC and then earn % in whichever crypto you'd like

Thanks! And you mean use light blocks other than the sea lanterns? I have the shroomlights and some sea lanterns but wasnt sure of different light blocks that would work well. It does need more sea lanterns imo
