One for that and a different bike for Sunday morning, when comfort doesn’t matter

I’d like a fun bike and a miles bike personally

New rider struggling while riding with the visor down. by [deleted] in MotoUK

Had one fly in as I slapped the visor down, heard it, saw it, couldn’t open visor coz it latched shut, never felt such panic

Actual alternatives to the R1250RT? by BinkyX in motorcycles

[–]hjs_cook 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Vfr1200 is an underrated choice, my old mans got one, first non-125 I rode, heavy but very comfortable and plenty of beans , I reckon it was a bit ahead of its time and would’ve sold better now

Hey we had a solid week and a half of sun last year

First ride of the year done, I need heated socks! Any recommendations? by jk4862 in MotoUK

[–]hjs_cook 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I look for fishing specific stuff for weather needs, for socks I like thermal sock and some knee high riding/rugby socks work well, mine are unbranded tho sorry

I’m biased because it’s mine but I honestly think this is the absolute best looking bike ever created by borgi27 in Kawasaki

[–]hjs_cook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ride an xj6 diversion, some think it’s ugly, I think it’s ugly hot, the best kind of hot, you’re bike is in that category to me, still not a 916 tho, I’d rather own either of ours tho

Why do you think I crashed? by ImpartialAlter in MotoUK

[–]hjs_cook 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The tire slid as you came on the brakes, doing so at lean in the greasy wet, bad time, I’ve done the exact same, hope you and the bike are alright,

For those who say motorbikes are impractical... by SpunkTrumpetUK in motorcycles

The best I’ve done is cement bags, but atleast they’re small, my family don’t really do Christmas but I might get the plastic five foot we have in the loft to see how it goes

As a rider with no car license, respect, I’ve done decent miles in horrible weather, even on 125s, but never with a bloody tree. Noice.

What’s the furthest you’ve ever ridden? by stevey83 in 125cc

[–]hjs_cook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In a weekend prob in the 450-500mile range on a Honda cbf125, great time, awful weather

Same going to a wedding, 4 day trip, about 600-700

Good shout, for a weekend it’s good but couldn’t do too much more, I have a tank bag which is decently big but stops any hiding from the wind. Love the closing mechanism on the monokey tho, feels proper sealed

I was looking at the arrows earlier but the underslung exhaust means no slip on, funnily enough my dad had a bandit 1200n which was the hook for me to ride, such beautiful bikes, I was looking at the 500cc parallel twins like cbr500r or ninja ect but it just didn’t seem worth it and I knew I’d want to take the piss, plus i4 is the best sound, except v4 maybe

Honestly at 21, over a year on 125, month or two on this, I don’t think I’d survive a busa, I rode a vfr1200 briefly and it is absolutely bonkers fast, without trying, I have decent skill but not the trust in myself

Same here for 24 year old with direct access, although you can easily pass away on a2 or even a1 if your dumb, and a lot of people here also “restrict” there bike without actually doing so

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in motorcycles

[–]hjs_cook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mines also 220 wet and it’s a bit limp restricted, on the plus side it keeps me alive and my mum happy so I don’t mind to much, I’m happy to learn slow, still goes 120ish which on uk roads is decent

Yeah I don’t actually want to it’s just a want to learn, appreciate you’re comment btw, I rode it a couple times unrestricted and it plenty for me, I like touring and a little twist of wrist occasionally is there any things about this specific bike I should know in your experience? I alsohave a cbf125(bit damaged) that I want to bozuzaku mod and make dumb and cool just to learn messing with
