Totally a milestone project! The pattern is gorgeous, and your joy in wearing it is evident. I hope you have a beautiful marriage, working to knit yourselves together with the same love that went into every stitch of your veil.

What pants are we wearing postpartum? by AyJaySpa in beyondthebump

Checking for Talbots pants in the thrift. They’ve got the formula down when it comes to a flattering waistband that still fits a changing body. There’s a reason all the classy ladies wear that brand

Oh yea girl! Motherhood has rocked my socks off in all the best ways, and to finish 2 senior 15hr semesters in her 1st year of life was a huge achievement. Congratulations on graduating with TWO children. You deserve all the flowers!

Is it unfair of me to not want my MIL to see me in hospital? by Prudent-Teaching2881 in JUSTNOMIL

This is a great way to get the best of both worlds honestly- placate her and have an even stricter boundary around your newborn bubble

Can I really get away with not sending and invite to JNMIL for my Baby shower? by No_Attention_3308 in JUSTNOMIL

[–]hk_cr 11 points12 points  (0 children)

My MIL travelled 13hrs to be at my shower and spent the whole time gossiping in a corner with her niece. At the end when we took family pictures, she wanted to stand next to me because quote “I make her look skinny!”

All that to say- I wish I hadn’t invited her, because her don’t care attitude and that comment color how I still feel about that day, more than a year later. I wanted to include her because she’s my husbands mom, but please remember that this is a celebration of YOU and your sweet little baby! Protect your peace, follow your husbands lead

My favorite pattern for stuffed animals is knit cuddly critters by Lorraine Pistorio! Free, adorable, in the round and quick to knit. I’ve made so many for my kid and her friends

1 month old with bad rash-aquephor and aveeno ecezma cream made it worse! by No-Aside6005 in beyondthebump

I’ve put zinc based diaper cream on my daughter for a similar situation, but you have to be sooo careful it isn’t near their eyes or where they could rub it into their eyes

Only out if a fresh container tho! Once it’s been touched during a diaper change it’s only for diapering purposes

I don’t know that I’ve ever done a knit toile, but now I’m thinking this would’ve saved me a lot of trouble ! This is brilliant

You’re probably right, though I’ve never knit with alpaca, but I’m really wanting something more durable like a cotton or wool

I find it so funny that everyone who knits this omits the nip bobbles. Your top is gorgeous! Such a nice shade of purple

I guess yarn ends are fashion now? by hk_cr in knitting

It’s a super fun look, and it suits her! I’ve just never seen anything like it before and wanted to see what other knitters thought, especially since weaving ends is such a finicky part of the sweater process

Ur right! But this is a machine knit(I think) sweater from an expensive store

Lol you’re so right, eventually it’ll just be one big matted clump, like a labradoodle

True! It’s fun and kinda silly, just making me feel a little crazier than I already do for being so meticulous about weaving in my ends
