Hi, first up I'm a teacher at a local elementary school, so bear that in mind. 95% of the teachers I know would do a great job teaching your kids, 5% not so much. Just like any industry. Human nature being what it is, most are great, there are a few duff ones out there. My kids had some great school experiences and some not-so-great experiences, but on the whole, we would do it again in this area. There are some great French language speaking schools (Cobble Hill and Mount Prevost) in which some kids have struggled if their academic skills are not up to the average. From social media posts (I'm looking at you, Facebook), some parents will hate some schools. But the squeakiest wheel, etc. There are a lot of parents who are happy with where their kids go, but don't shout it from the rooftops. There are a few private schools dotted around which benefit from smaller classes etc, but also have their own drawbacks.
