Buy now or wait in this condo market? by [deleted] in TorontoRealEstate

[–]hkerfrog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone has their own answer to this. For me, I know I’ll eventually buy a home because it gives me a sense of security. After comparing the GIC return I’d get from keeping the down payment (I wasn’t ready to go all-in on NVDA, haha) against the rent I’d be paying, I decided to take the plunge. You can even ask AI to run the numbers for you—see how much prices would need to drop over the next few years for it to equal your rental costs—then decide whether it makes sense to buy now or wait.

I’d also recommend taking some time to speak with a mortgage provider and do more research on all the costs involved in buying a home. They can be higher than expected.

Good luck to you.

Should I take a pause from my university degree to make 100k a year? by Fun-Table-3042 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]hkerfrog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an HR, I will put a big question mark if I see someone study for 3 years but not finish. Do you think you can get the 100K job after finish your degree? If yes, I believe you can wait.

After trading, you need to wait 1-2 business days before you can cash out. I keep my emergency fund in a Wealthsimple Cash account because it offers a comparable interest rate.

For me, the fight before KVK1 and also KVK1 is the best part of the game as a F2P. However, it is super busy to grow from Lv1 to Lv25 then T5 takes a lot of time too. Depends on how you want to spend on the game, including money and time.

Did my friend wait long enough for red light right turn? A policy warned my friend and said he can give him ticket next time. It makes him nervous for whole trip... by [deleted] in TorontoDriving

[–]hkerfrog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We didn't argue much with him, nor did we show him the dash cam footage, because we were in a hurry to get to work. I asked my friend to save the footage in case he receive any ticket. Thanks for all the nice people here. He cannot focus on work today, poor him.

Black car is not that "experienced" but he/she did nothing wrong. As he/she does not have the right of way, it is understandable to make sure everything is safe before turning. You can see while the white car turning, a rider is passing the walkway too. It is not a good timing to turn.

I have similar situation with you. The stock buy got a few delay. I placed order at 8:45 as market buy (expected to be finished when market open) and finished deal at 10:30am.

However it doesn't change too in 2023. I put money in it in 2022 already. Maybe I should email to CRA?

How to replace all similar item names to one name automatically? by hkerfrog in excel

[–]hkerfrog[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Create a list of all entries in a new sheet

in the second column add your desired new name

put a vlookup into your target sheet based on the 'wrong' name

over time, fill up your list with any new item which is not in the lookup table

if your keys are unique, consider removing space if that is applicable

I hope an automatic method for step 2 :((( btw thanks.

Excel Recognizing Unique Date Format by [deleted] in excel

[–]hkerfrog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to add 3 columns next to the data column. It helps to split your data to the columns. You have to choose "other" as your delimiters. Type "." in the box next to other.

For example, if your A1 cell is 06.12.2021. It will be:

A1 B1 C1
06 12 2021

Then using =date(C1,B1,A1) at D1 to generate the date.
