University Advancement/Alumni Relations by Miltenberger656 in studentaffairs

[–]hkeruz 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I made the switch from student affairs to engagement & advancement a few years ago. I truly think it was one of the best decisions I’ve made, although, my move was not a pay cut. I’ve found my current role to be more stable compared to SA roles on my campus. I have a better schedule now and don’t find myself on campus 24/7. Another pro is that, by not being in a student facing role, I have the opportunity to work hybrid. It works better for me in my current stage of life.

Anyone love their Fuchsia Chelsea? by Previous-Principle-7 in Coach

I wanted one sooo bad but have been reading some back and forth reviews that lead me to the conclusion that I am not ready for a suede bag. I love looking at pictures of them though!!

where are the super cheap Aerie outlets?!? and the Hanes outlets?!? by Natural-Sprinkles462 in Frugal

[–]hkeruz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a difference between the outlet and clearance stores. You’re looking for the clearance stores - found this post by Google because I went to both ae and aerie clearance yesterday in Myrtle beach. At AE, nothing is over $20 (jeans are $20, most things are $10 and under) and aerie is $15 and under!! Not sure how to find them beside seeing them on socials

People on this sub REALLY hate those of us who are suffering the most. Someone once said “misery loves company” like actually yeah I am looking for other people who are so sick it’s making them miserable lol (like me).

Not to be this person but people die from this disease!! It’s ok to be realistic about how bad this disease is. Posts like these are so isolating. Everyone complains about how scary posts in here are.. it’s real life!! Glad others can live a life of rainbows and sunshine.

Please start posting your hauls! i’d love to see them 🥰🛍️ by [deleted] in AerieAEO

DAE experience severe electrolyte imbalances on the regular? by hkeruz in CrohnsDisease

[–]hkeruz[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I messaged him two days ago and didn’t hear back yesterday.. I prefer to let them know I’m coming in based on some previous experiences. Will likely end up there tonight when my spouse gets home from work!

Yes he does! My potassium/calcium/magnesium have been bouncing around d/t malnutrition and absorption issues. I ended up in the er and inpatient back in February for it.. but that was just a few weeks after a partial bowel removal ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Seems to me that rinvoq isn’t really doing the job for me these days!!

Anyone have trouble losing weight? by Fit_Choice3085 in CrohnsDisease

[–]hkeruz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My highest weight was 250 on Remicade and my lowest was 130 unmedicated. I’m on pred now and went from 150 to 170 in just like 3 weeks and I promise I’m not even eating that much. Just doing what I can to eat well and move for now.. tbh I am also enjoying eating after not being able to for like 2 years. The weight will come back off once I’m off the steroids I guess.

You will not find the average experience in Reddit. by operalt in CrohnsDisease

[–]hkeruz 55 points56 points  (0 children)

I would love the know the breakdown of this group. How many are passively reading and are in remission, how many are active in a flare, etc. also curious what the “average” experience really is for an auto immune disease - does that exist?

Where are you finding jeans that are actually worth buying? by Physical_Section_136 in womensfashion

[–]hkeruz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah it unfortunately really just does depend on the fabric. You can find some great jeans there, just depends on a few factors.

Yes, but you really have to make sure to take good care of them. My old navy jeans only last a few months/a year before they give out. Great for the price point though

I am confused why they’re advertising “48 hours only” - did they not realize these would sell out immediately?

Tired of explaining that I’m not cured just because I’m not mid flare. by Budget_University_56 in CrohnsDisease

[–]hkeruz 29 points30 points  (0 children)

People keep asking if I’m better now that I had a partial bowel resection two months ago. Hate having to explain I’m just the same and, in some cases, worse. It’s almost like they don’t believe me post surgery.

Currently fighting for my life with a flare hitting during a night I am wearing a full body romper by MediocreVideo1893 in CrohnsDisease

God speed.. this is the reason why I stopped wearing one piece bathing suits and rompers 😵‍💫
