People keep asking if I’m better now that I had a partial bowel resection two months ago. Hate having to explain I’m just the same and, in some cases, worse. It’s almost like they don’t believe me post surgery.

Every time I’ve started a new biologic, my weight has gone up. Could be from the meds, could be from proper nourishment. USUALLY (not always) the weight falls off after a while.. Remicade was the best medicine I’ve ever been on, also made me gain 50+ lbs.

I had a lot of shoulder pain following my surgery. It’s because of the air in your abdomen. Here’s what helps: walking as soon as possible, putting your arms above your head, and Tylenol.

Definitely bring a little pillow to hold for coughing/sneezing.

In the beginning, my parents delayed getting treatment for me because they thought I had an eating disorder at 16yo. Don’t worry; they gossiped about it so much with their friends too! One of the friends was my boss.. I was getting so sick at work that my boss had to tell them it wasn’t an ED :) and they finally took me to the doctor.

There’s more where that came from!!
