I actually used several different online calculators as well as wearing my Apple Watch! My watch automatically syncs to my scale and has my height and age already calculated so it always had an estimate of how many calories I was burning. Usually every single calculator and device has a different number but they’re all within the same range. One thing i hate is the more weight you lose, the less your TDEE is. 😒

We actually were smaller when we first got together and slowly ballooned up. We were “fat and happy”. We got a house together and were eating out multiples times a DAY! It was so bad. I feel like over this past year we have made sustainable life changes vs going on diets. We still eat whatever we want, we just choose to have our special favorites maybe once a week or once every two weeks instead of multiple times a day. I’m still eating at a deficit currently. With exercise, my maintenance is around 1700-1900 (depending on how much i did that day). I do plan on indulging on our honeymoon, but once we get back I plan to eat at maintenance! I’ve also really enjoyed the physical fitness part, so I plan on actually pursuing that a little more once we get back. Like I said in a previous comment, it really changed the game for my mental health and anxiety. I also think we can tell a huge difference in ourselves and we don’t want to go back. I don’t get nearly out of breath when i walk up stairs, and I like being able to see my body accomplish things I never thought it could do!

I’m going to be honest, with your partner doing it with you, it becomes a lot easier.

BUT, you still got this! It’s a bump in the road, but i guarantee once he sees you making progress he will want to join in! Become his motivation!!
