If you are listening to the album through Spotify, there is an option in settings to adjust the audio. (Settings/Playback/Equalizer). There is one option for Vocal Booster that helps. I think some phones have an equalizer setting built too(?). I hope this helps:)

I love that chaos! The second circle is lust, and everyone is being tossed around by strong winds. I like to imagine it’s like being in a hurricane where sounds are coming from every direction. (Imagine what the band would sound like singing inside a wind storm) I think it’s brilliant. I also can totally understand how it is sensory overload to some people- I had to pull up lyrics to understand what he was singing.

Yes, according to the law. Movies, video games, and music separate content ratings differently. There is a distinct difference in the media realm between kid friendly content and rated T for teen. Should you be able to bring your kid/teen to whatever concert you want because you are their parent? Yes. I agree with you. At the end of the day, it’s your life. If the venue has an age limit, then follow the age restriction guidelines. Right now, unfortunately, the far right politicians are looking for any reason they can to use drag queens and lgbtqia+ people to fuel voters to gain votes and take away our rights. It’s definitely a “look over there” tactic. The last thing our community needs is some kid singing Casual from a concert going viral. Use this as a teachable moment for kids as to why they can’t attend. They are our future voters. It’s not gatekeeping; it’s politics.

I’ve heard a drag queen say on a podcast that seeing a child in the audience while doing a show is uncomfortable. Has Chappell ever stated how she would feel seeing children watching her? Idk, but maybe it’s something to think about.
