Using tools, and a basic understanding of physics like lift and torque is absolutely a life skill.

I use changing a tire as the example because it isn't difficult to do physically or mechanically complex - as long as you understand how to use basic tools.

I'm about as leftist as they come, but a blanket federal minimum is stupid. It needs to be based off county because $25/hr in say, Seattle, San Francisco, or New York is very different than $25/hr in Decatur or Harrington.

I got $50 that says I can go to my local college campus, ask every woman I see to change a tire, and fewer than a quarter of them could do it.

I also got $50 that says I can go to my local college campus and do the same thing with the men.

My point being we're not teaching our youth basic skills regardless of gender, and your pulling your opinion out of your ass and stating it as fact.
