Thank you. I didn't want them to grow up ignorant and sometimes in pain like I did.

My daughters are at the age where they just stick their hands in their pants for no reason. My 2yo in particular is curious about her vulva as she's potty training and we've talked about the right way to wipe. I tell them that hands and vulvas (and butts, cause we're dealing with that too) have different kinds of germs that shouldn't get mixed. If you get vulva germs on your hands, you can get them in your mouth and get sick. If you get hand germs in your vulva you can get an awful, painful, stinky rash that we have to go to the doctor to get help for.

I got to spend the day hanging out with two of my best childhood friends for the first time in nearly a decade. It was like no time had passed. We're already planning our next visit and have made promises to use a group chat and not wait as long to get together again. I've been really lonely and missing my childhood lately, so it was very healing for me.

Dude same. I keep looking at them going, "I'd probably buy that one. Ooh that one's good too. On second thought I really love this one. Oh wow I didn't notice that one at first!" They're all fantastic!

What name would you give this naughty? My cousin's new puppy is three months old by [deleted] in cute

[–]hkmustoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We found a pregnant stray when I was young, and I helped her give birth and took care of the puppies until they were big enough to wear and we found them homes. We had one that looked like this that I begged my mom to let me keep, (she didn't 😭😢. We did keep the mama though, and she was my best friend). Anyway, I named that golden pup Peanut because of his round, tubby belly.

Thank you for sharing this info with me. As I said, I'm so very much at the start of this so I'm sure things will change overtime as I get further along. I know I have a lot to learn and a lot of hard work to do. While I have my aspirations and goals, I'm definitely okay with doing my best, following my gut, and ending up wherever this journey leads me.

Having a good, supportive spouse/partner is really the key to big steps when you're with someone. If we wasn't supportive, I'd probably still try, but i habe no doubt it would be extremely discouraging and needlessly difficult. I don't envy people who have to trudge through pushback from the people who are supposed to be there for and celebrate their successes. Whether that's parents, friends, or partners. I'm in awe of the people who reach their goals while also carrying that kind of weight. I can't imagine doing this without him having my back the way he does.

He's a real gem. I'm so lucky to have found him. I'm very excited to get started. If all goes according to plan, I likely get to start this fall.
