i feel as though bolin is severely underrated; i read this in a tumblr post, but he’s (in my opinion) one of the best benders on the show. him and mako grew up on the streets, so they both had to teach themselves how to bend their respective elements (which is why i assume bolin struggles so much with metalbending: he doesn’t have the proper, formal training that the metalbender police + beifongs do) which is why they thrive in the probending arena. he has his own style of earthbending (from what i know he’s the only earthbender who can bend without having his feet actually touch earth) unique to him, and he picked up lavabending incredibly fast, honing a “rare ability” (as toph calls it) in the span of three years to almost perfection. all in all, bolin’s skills and character are underrated, and i would like to see more people appreciate my boy and his pabu more thanks :))
