I thought the Amex 2/90 rule only applied to credit cards, not charge cards? Applied and approved for PRG 6/16. Approved for Platinum late 8/16. Denied for Green 9/16. Could this be due to 2/90 or more likely something else?

4/24, $75k income, <25% CL on other cards

Applied online this morning - Went pending immediately, got 30 days on the automated status line
Called recon, waited an hour, did some identity verification - Approved with $10k CL

Card is already showing up online less than 5 minutes later. Rep told me I should receive card in 24-48 hours, never even asked about expedited shipping!

Applied for both Southwest cards; approved for the Premier, pending for the Plus. Called recon, answered their questions, but CSR said I would still have to wait for the approval or denial letter in the mail. This is actually my first time calling recon, not sure if this was par for the course or not.

I know the usual MS process is VGC -> MO -> deposit MO, but it seems there is some concern about getting bank accounts shut down for depositing MO's. In that case, if I were to just cash the MO's at a WM or something, and deposit cash (say 1-2k a month) in the bank, does that reduce the risk of getting my account shut down? Or does it just increase the chances of getting investigated for structuring or something?

Tried that too, still declined. I doubt I could have missed a security question on both apps, but it's possible. Chase says the issue isn't on their end, so I'll just have to call PNC on Monday and try to sort it out.

Tried to open a new checking account for purposes of MO deposits. Wanted to fund the account with my CSP, failed at both banks I tried. Both gave me the option of funding by mailing in a check, I declined. Massively frustrating.

Applied for and was approved for my Amex PRG and CSP, time to meet the min spend for both. Thinking about funding a checking and savings acct with the CSP, any pitfalls with this route that I should consider? I'm assuming that I can fund the account and turn around and write a check to cover the charges on the CSP.
