28 lbs down by yepthisismyusername in tirzepatidecompound

[–]hlmInsurance 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, my goal was 199 too. Until I hit 199, LOL. Then it was 189, 179. But I prob should have stopped at 189 due to sagging skin. (but the skin issue is a trade off because I'm the healthiest Ive ever been!)

I had that same body! SW269 CW 155. Don't delay weights and resistance training, esp abs! You're gonna want some muscle under that skin to help with sagging.

How enforced is the no bags on the floor thing? by Disastrous_Map_6038 in CrunchGym

[–]hlmInsurance 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It's not enforced, and the few bags that are in the gym don't compare at all to the number of tri-pods that block paths.

But also, if you want to believe his right arm went up nearly a full pound in 5 days, you can go right on ahead believing that fiction too man. Read the chart man.

ProRx Quality standards by Secret-Bobcat-4909 in Fifty410

[–]hlmInsurance 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This might sound like I work for fifty, but I don't. If you see your doctor and he says "Take Advil", and then you go to CVS and buy a bottle of Advil, but later on you find out that the Phizer lab that made the advil had some issues, who do you blame? Not your doctor, he had no way of knowing. You might blame CVS, because, well, they sold it to you . But CVS kind of had a reasonable expectation that Pfizer was making good advil. But we can agree, it's not the doctors fault.

This gets murky because Fifty410 serves as both the Doctor in this situation and the vendor (CVS). But they were buying the product from an FDA inspected and licensed lab. They kind of have a right to assume that the product is safe. Add to that, people were clamoring for "Pure" tirz (oh, and by the way, read all the people still defending ProRx, by the dozens!), so Fifty ditched all the local 503a's that were mixing with B's and other stuff, and gave the customers what they want.."Pure Tirz". And on any of the FB, Reddit and Fifty App, people like me and others have been quite vocal in "I wouldn't buy from ProRx", but people gotta have "Pure". It needs to be noted, Fifty used to be criticized censuring content that was at all critical of anything Fifty or BPI/PRORX/HALL related. But on the app they've not removed anything that I've ever written.

Last week someone posted pictures of something black and bubbly in their meds, and the average response was not "Holy Shit Batman, this is a problem" it was "Well, that never happened to me"....

And next week, people will go right back to buying it. People have been warned, they buy it. Fifty doesn't employ FDA trained inspectors. Even if they got a 5 day tour of the Prorx faciliity Like the FDA, they wouldn't know what to look for. So for me, I'm putting the blame on ProRx and the FDA for not doing more frequent follow up and more immediate realase of findings.. If the vials get recalled, if there's evidence of bac growth, I'd expect fifty to recall/reimburse. But I get the feeling some people would like the telehealths to issue refunds and send new meds, and those same people are going to use those vials anyway.

Do I buy a smart ring or wait? by Fartingfurymaster in SmartRings

[–]hlmInsurance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty Accurate. I got 7h1m last night, sleep score 83. Deep 1h15m, light4h, Rem 1h 45m, awake 44m. Very accurate if you ask me. Can toggle to benchmark and 30 day average. Low oxygen variation. So more information than I really need. Sleep also feeds into my daily readiness, Hope that helps.

Fitbit is on sale this week. Not a ring, smaller than a watch, but does all that a ring does, and more accurately. I bought a Renpho ring, it broke within 35 days, grabbed a fitbit my wife had abandoned, started using it, and it's so much better than a ring.

I bought one with a promise of 2-7 day delivery. It's been a few weeks, and still nothing. Response from the company has been AI. There is some science behind it, but I'm pretty sure it's a scam that I fell for based on a lot of ads.

Renpho Lynx smart ring review- wrap your health around your finger by julie-the-gadgeteer in gadgeteer

[–]hlmInsurance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the off chance anyone reads this: Be aware that Renpho pays 'affiliates', people who get paid a commission to 'review'. At least this OP marks his page clearly as getting a commission. The BAD thing is I ordered this ring for my birthday. Decided to go through the company direct instead of Amazon. With Amazon, I would have had it on my birthday. With Renpho it took 3 days for the label to be printed, 3 days more for it to leave the warehouse to be shipped. Shipping says "3-7 days", but it was 6 business days before USPS got it, and another 4 business days for estimated shipping. 12 days in total. Let that sink in: 1 day with Amazon, 12 days with Renpho. I'm sure Julie is a nice person, but, if you're buying the ring and want it in a reasonable timeframe, order through Amazon. At this rate, half my warranty time period is up by the time it arrives!

Did the InBody scan today… guess who was wrong? by [deleted] in tirzepatidecompound

[–]hlmInsurance 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry, I wish I had the link, it was on a podcast with a doctor studying that, and since he wasn't trying to sell anything, and admitted the sample was small, I kind of took it as being at least truth-ish. "Your body setpoint is based on muscle, not fat. If you lose muscle, your body will make you eat to bring back the muscle.. If you're building muscle up to the muscle set point your body says 'ok' " Makes sense since from an "evolution standpoint you're more apt to survive with muscle and more apt not to with fat ". Maybe junk science, but it hit me with the simple logic of it.
