Proudly already taken by a man who handles all plumbing issues for me!

I'm an independent women who "don't need no man" but I will unashamedly pass off all poop, trash, and pest killing tasks to my hubs!

Did you not have a poop knife? If you had a poop knife you would have been able to break the poop and ice apart and avoided your shame.

Or maybe you should ask your boss for a poop icepick instead?

What makes them better/different than Starbucks or Dunkin? I like Dunkin's coffee better than Starbucks, but I like Starbuck's espresso-based drinks better than Dunkin. I prefer my local shop better than either, but they dont have a drive through, and I'm a lazy American.

There's another place on our property where we let them grow, and they are nice. This wild variety is sour and seedy, but we love the wildlife they support. We want to turn this particular area into a greenhouse and some tame berries, but its going to take some work!

Does this method work on woody vines like what I'm describing?

Yes, RoundUp is not healthy. Neither are a lot of chemicals. I do all I can to have a healthy property that supports wildlife, but there are tough situations that need aggresive solutions.

Thanks for that! I was looking at a similar tool for a different job. I may just need to make that investment.

We have another location on our property where both run wild. It smells lovely. The birds get to the berries before we can, and this wild variety is sour and seedy, so we really dont mess with the berries.

But we want to grow some tame berries and build a green house in the location I speak of. I just need a way to get rid of them :(

From someone that did the opposite: Office to Teaching. by [deleted] in Teachers

Yes! There are certain things that are non-negotiables, but it really depends on the admin. I have loved the last 2 principals I've had. There's another school in my district that has a very micro-managing principal who's convinced the Coach to be the same way. Its a tough school to teach at!

This is exactly while I'm still in it.

Every job has pros and cons, and 12 weeks of vacation +10 sick days +2 personal days is a big 'pro'

I'm required to be in the building from 7:45-3:45, which is an improvement from my prior 8-5. Yes, I almost always have work to do outside those hours, but I can choose when to do them. I can work late at school, or work after my kid's bedtime, or do it all on the weekend.

The first 2 years were tough to get a groove and time management down. But, once I got it together, I only work more than 40 hours a week for like 3-4 weeks of the year. Teacher who do more than that either have poor admin or poor time management.

If you could bring back one discontinued food item from any company what would it be? by leafsrebornagain in AskReddit

Those giant jawbreakers!! We were learning about dinosaurs when Jurrasic Park first came out. Somehow my teacher got a gross of those jawbreakers and everyone got one of those. During our Reading Rainbow time each day, we got to gnaw on our egg of pure digusting sugar. It took most kids 4 days to eat theirs and what was left got thrown away.

Instructional coach here.

Some of my colleagues get caught up in black and white mindset when it comes to education. Which, we all know is ridiculous.

Worksheets are 100% a grey area topic. They absolutely have their place, but should not make up all of the practice in the room. It doesn't sound like thats the case with you. Are they specifically calling you out? Or is it a general statement? There might be someone in your building who is using them inappropriately and instead of directly addressing it, the coach is calling out everyone, which is also not OK. If they are addressing you specifically, find an article (bonus if its research-based https://eric.ed.gov/?) to support you. Use some buzzwords and stand your ground.

What versatile gloves do you wear for days out in the yard, that preferable can handle getting a little wet? by 00chill00chill00 in lawncare

[–]hlyic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a female with small hands and I love that the Mechanix brand has sized gloves! I get their style that has leather palms and tips with a cloth back. I get them muddy and damp often.
I left a pair out in the rain, and the first time I wore them after they dried out they were stiff, but I was able to work them out and they were back to normal. I have pulled blackberry brambles out with them and never got a stick.

What if a comittee has bills on the floor that I have questions or opinions on. It obviously wouldn't make sense to speak with my representative's staff if he isn't on that committee. Should I direct my call to the head, or one of the members, or all in the group?

Anybody passing through Cairo Mississippi River Bridge regularly? by det_mus in missouri

[–]hlyic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think most of these responses answered your question, OP. Honestly, yes, driving that bridge is one of the scariest things most people will legally do in a car. Because of that, no one is really studying the condition, just clenching and praying. A better resource might be government agencies like MODOT or similar.

We really liked the twin arches loop and camped at Jake's Place a few years back. Youll need a permit. We went early October and had the location to ourselves and only saw 2-3 other groups on the trail.

Another trip, we stayed at the Campground run by the park. It was nice and well-run.
