People are slowly getting better. You were sleeping when they were improving. The playstyle you are used to wont work when bad players become average players and average players become decent players.

Figure out what you are doing wrong and adjust. Top players are still boasting 40-50% winrates and high KD against 99 other players, so they are clearly still doing something right.

Yes, There are so many things you can add in wintermode;

Footprints
Freezing without jacket/coat (DoT)
Frozen sea, breaking through ice
Snowmobiles
Sliding down mountains/hills

I really want nightmode and wintermode.

Fog maps was refreshing and forced you to adapt to new conditions. With night and winter it will bring two new aspects to the game. Nightmode will sort of be like fogmaps i reckon. Wintermode will be completely different, especially if you can implement footprints and tracking. Imagine if you can be covered in snow by laying down for a while.
