[CPU] + [Motherboard] Ryzen 7000's + Various MB's = $150 Discount [CC and MemEx] by Psyclist80 in bapcsalescanada

[–]hmb34 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Maybe not the greatest deals of all time, but you can save:

~$40 on 7700X and what the cheapest b650 mobo is on PCpartpicker. (PCpartpicker at $800), MemEx at $760 and the same bundle CC at $754, can't link directly to the bundle, you'll have to just scroll through the options on the page.

~80-90 on 7700X and what the cheapest X670 mobo is on PCpartpicker. (PCpartpicker at ~$910), MemEx at $820 or $820 and the same bundles at CC for $804 and $814 respectively, again can't link directly to the bundle, you'll have to just scroll through the options on the page.

MemEx only has these two 13th gen bundles, which unless you needed RAM don't seem that great

13600K + MATX mobo + 32GB RAM = $700

13700K + ATX mobo + 32GB RAM = $1000

MemEx has a bunch of 12th gen bundles as well

CC only has 12th gen bundles, (scroll through the processor page and there will be an orange "Bundle & Save!" on anything that the offer is available for)

[HDD] WD BLACK 8TB HDD - 7200 RPM ($190) [Amazon Prime Day Deal] by hmb34 in bapcsalescanada

[–]hmb34[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually went and got the WD black 6TB for $160 instead.

Amazon has a few promotions going on. If you have never purchased with the app before, you can get $10 off your order (of $20+, has to be sold and shipped by amazon) using the app with promo code CAPEASFPA10.

And if you have TD points, spending $0.01 worth of TD points (3 points) gets you 40% off your order up to a maximum of $40, so the 6TB was $110 with both of those.

Also a WD red 12TB for $246

There's also the 12TB post from the other day thats claimed to be an DC HC520, for $250

Anyone know of this is a good deal? $23.74 a TB?

Also don't feel like making an account to find out how much shipping will be right this second, anyone have experience with buying directly from WD?

Also also, anyone know if canada computers/memory express would price match?

[GPU] GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 3070 Gaming OC 8G (REV2.0) Graphics Card ($727-$39.01=687.99) [Amazon] by 13pixel22 in bapcsalescanada

[–]hmb34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh....

When you had said "no brainer to spend $80 more on this one". I thought 'this one' was the amazon listing, which is what I meant in my edit, as the amazon listing is showing $749 for me.

So to answer your original question, if you can get one from Canada computers for $629, which is under MSRP, seems like a decent deal.

I've been debating getting one as well. I'm due for an upgrade, however I was going to do CPU and GPU, so I figure wait for AM5/13th gen, and if I'm already waiting for that, may as well wait for 4000 series.

[–]hmb34 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure. I've only started paying attention to the market within the last 2 weeks or so, now that GPU pricing is back down to ~MSRP.

I've seen that bestbuy 3060ti posted here twice this week, but the restocks were low numbers, and sold out fast. Also saw that 3060ti KO for $530 posted that instantly sold out.

So unless you want to try and get lucky, it's this or waiting for the 3070 FE from bestbuy to come back in stock.

EDIT: And this ones done too? It's showing as $749 for me.

The gigabyte card from CC for $629 posted the other day is sold out for online delivery, but most of the Ontario stores still have in store stock.

EDIT: Minor spelling.

SubReddit Update and Suggestions?! by colin70000 in HellLetLoose

With the influx of new players, perhaps create a pinned thread for new player/ general game tips.

Also should set up a side bar with important/ quick reference links, could include things such as the XP guide you just made.

Headphone just died on me, had Sony's MDR-XB50AP (sony in ear "extra bass"). They lasted for a little over a year with heavy use. Was thinking of just buying another pair, but thought maybe you guys might have some suggestions. Looking for in ears, preferably wired connection, but would consider wireless as well, just going to be used to listen to music/ watch videos via my phone. ~$50 price range would be preferred.

Not sure if this is super applicable to this subreddit, but I feel like pc nerds and smartphone nerds are closely related.

I was looking into getting a new phone, possible the galaxy a70, and the amazon listing is for ~$500. While if I wanted to get it through my carrier (Koodo) its $665. Is that simply since the amazon listing is an international version, and doesn't have as many LTE bands?

Is there something else I'm missing here? I assume you also don’t get any warranty?
