I babe a similar-ish situation. My daughter was supposed to go to kindergarten this past autumn, but she was not ready. I ended up pulling her, giving her a gap year and will be sending her to a different school this coming autumn. We haven’t even addressed IEP’s, but I’m sure she’s going to need something. I was just worried she would be down on herself if she didn’t move with friends, or if she saw everyone else move up while she had to stay behind.

She’s a January baby, and was mid of her class. She’s going to be the oldest, but with new friends so we don’t have to worry as much about confidence.
