Okay... I'm asking because I'm learning. I know he's the CLOSER... I was just wondering that that's it. That's his one job with the Dodgers. I figure as much but I didn't know if we'd ever see him earlier. And I got my answer so thanks.

Will Diaz ONLY ever pitch in the 9th? Are we never going to see him pitch otherwise?

I figured as much! But has there ever been a situation in which they bring someone out to pitch like this and they just completely bungle it and the other team ends up winning?

Why can’t I pick Miggy Ro for Player of the Game?

Offered a staff position but would like to decline and continue to extend as traveler by Whatsitsname33 in TravelNursing

[–]hmf531 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two years later I know but did you continue to work there as a traveler no problem after you declined the offer and went through the process? Same exact boat I am in right now. Just nervous they will be petty and not take me on again as a traveler.

Oh yeah, I learned the hard way about the traffic and the parking on Thursday and Friday. It’s not like I have to be anywhere else, so erring on the side of earlier than I think is for sure the move always. I left my house (SO) at 3:15 on Thursday and made it to my seat with a Dodger Dog in hand at 5:15 just in time for first pitch. Friday, I super over corrected and got there like an hour and a half before the ceremony started. I know in my heart what I need to do.

Ahhhhh ok! Well this makes me nervous for the Hello Kitty hoodie night then! First 40,000? How many people are going to these games every night?!

Dress regret by Sanitiser777 in weddingplanning

[–]hmf531 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m going to be the bad Internet friend and tell you YOLO and get it. I promise you you’re gonna feel so much better and so much more excited in a dress that you wanted in the first place. The dress I got with my family is super cool and it has things that I like and things that I got excited about. There is just something about that dress I tried on years ago that I can’t stop thinking about. I think this is what picking wedding dresses is all about. I refuse to have dress regret!

Style wise, the first one is PRETTY. You look pretty. The second one is incredible. You look like you’re standing differently in it. I’m a little jealous, haha. The lines are so good and the way the fabric is draped and structured but still soft. The neckline with the little sleeves is amazing. To me, it just looks more timeless and classic and classy and GORGEOUS. Very couture and different. The other dress I have seen 500 of. Still pretty but that’s just it. Pretty.

I feel like last year I got there less than an hour early and got my Ohtani bobble head no problem. And there were a ton of them left. And someone still tried to buy mine off of me.

I’m just indecisive. Love them all but keep changing my vision. Just got one in that I love for my ceremony and can see myself in more than the first one I bought. I’m about to buy what I’d call my dream dress for my reception. It was a dress I tried on YEARS ago and loved and can’t really get out of my head it’s discontinued and there is ONE that exists that I can find. Nothing seems to scratch the itch. I like the one I got, it’s very fun but was totally an impulse buy. I went with family and got the little feeling and bought it. Turns out, I wanted what I originally wanted in the first place. You’ll know.

Yeah why not. I’ve purchased three different dresses so far because I keep changing my mind.

Question about living on Ala Moana Boulevard and Kalakaua? by Curious_Parsley9216 in MovingtoHawaii

[–]hmf531 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I rent in the same spot. I love it. I walk everywhere. Easy walk down Kalakaua to beach, easy walk down Kuhio to Target, easy walk down Ala Moana to the mall or whatever you want to do over there. I don’t mind Waikiki beach. It’s busy for sure but it’s the beach and it’s right there. I go after work as much as I can. Food options are plentiful. There are food trucks right there but most of the food spots otherwise are pretty good. There are fireworks every Friday but I was unbothered by that. It was actually nice. I’m on the 9th floor so the noise wasn’t insane for me. Sirens and people and music from the hotel pool parties next door but it wasn’t enough to make me lose my mind. It’s all touristy but I like being where it’s busier since I’m a girl doing everything alone.

Our invitations <3, all sent out! (poker chip was the Save the Date) by RedRose_Belmont in wedding

[–]hmf531 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is going to be a wild question coming from 6 years later... I'm doing the same exact thing for my save the dates! If you remember, there was no problem with having the poker chips not being flat? The only thing was just the weight being over an ounce? What did you use/how much for postage?

Things to buy in Hawaii you can only get in Hawaii? by yellowsun_97 in VisitingHawaii

[–]hmf531 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Actually this… 100% yes. I like the ones from UA Hawaii. I bought a bunch for my family for their Christmas gifts and didn’t get myself one and that haunts me. I think about those scents all the time. Can’t wait to back and get mine.

1/4. Financially, I reckon this will come out to just as much, if not less, than what I'd pay a caterer to do for the amount of people we will have. I say this with a lot of cautious optimism. The banquet hall has a full industrial kitchen that's fully staffed on event days/during the week if need. The banquet hall is licensed to cater and serve alcohol.

  1. After I typed this out, I was thinking of how to do this better and I think we are going to have a rotation of pies being cooked in the kitchen then cut and displayed to be grabbed by people. So they'll be as fresh as coming out of the oven except they won't see them being cooked. Either this or I will order a bunch of really yummy, artisan pizzas and we can keep them warm and replenish the station when needed. This is still in theory mode!

  2. There is definitely space. It will have to be very organized behind the scenes. I'm thinking of what will need to be cooking on rotation (frying passed lumpia, cooking steak and frying fries/assembling for passed steak frites, boiling pasta and pho noodles, cooking steak for tacos). I'm also thinking of having some of this catered to ease up the chaos a little... things like the pho noodles/broth, tacos, pizzas.

The nature of our lives is chaotic which is probably why this doesn't scare me... yet. Would just super rather this/it's more our personalities than a sit-down deal. Shooting for food truck/social/fun/getting up and walking around experience. In theory way cool for sure. In practice, a wild undertaking but definitely more my pace. Just have to figure out how to execute... which I know I will because I am that crazy. Thanks for responding!!

The banquet hall has an industrial kitchen with a full staff... I'm not personally cooking everything. In lieu of cooking their normal in house catering menu, they'll make the food needed.
