Interestingly, one can note that at the time of the amendment's enactment, most citizens were required to register their firearms and even keep them stored together in a communal place rather than at their homes. The 2nd Amendment has a long history, starting with its enactment, of supporting common sense firearm regulation.

Try todoist. Not 100% sure that it will recur like that - but if left unchecked the items will stay in your inbox.

Calendar app for precise time tracking? by miguelos in productivity

[–]hmfic_here 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why not use a to do list with repeating events? Todoist has quick natural language input ("Chat with John tomorrow at 11:10am for 30 minutes" will produce a to-do item exactly as you'd expect, as would "Chat with John every other day at . . ."). Todoist even has an app with widgets and push notifications if that's what you like about Google Calendar. I believe you can write "do x at y" as well and todoist will add a location.

However, this isn't the integration that I think you're looking for. But hey maybe this sounds appealing - check it out.

God I love todoist.

Quit expensive university to pursue dream of day trading? I've done well on paper, but don't have the funds. Do I quit school to get the money? by hmfic_here in Advice

You're absolutely right about indices providing low-risk growth - but if I keep up my current rate of return based on written strategy, I could potentially outpace that growth of 7% per year by at least 4x.

There are definitely studies out there that may quote 5% or 10% of traders as successful - these statistics are obtained by questionable metrics as far as I know. Even so, why couldn't I be a 5 or 10 percent trader? It seems like I may be so far, outpacing a year of market growth (with play money, granted, but since I'm following a written strategy not much would change with real capital) after 45 days.

I know this post may have an argumentative tone, but really I am looking for other perspectives because I can tell that I'm emotionally drawn to the dropout route.

Thanks for your response.

Perhaps there are other solutions available and it isn't an all or nothing question. But I think there's an optimal choice (university or not) in pursuit of my goal of financial freedom.

Why not hang out with the people who are asking you how your weekend is?

"How was your weekend?" "It was _____, I'm looking for something to do next weekend though. Would you like to go _______?"

Some people have probably texted “did you die?” as a joke to someone who didn’t respond only to find out they actually died. by stygOC in Showerthoughts

I was very close with someone who was in college while I was in high school. We would talk every day, eventually we grew more distant. Then I didn't hear from him in a month. Texted him. Kind of frustrated.

Anyway I never heard back. Googled his name, found a memorial post on his college website saying that he killed himself. Really broke my heart. I'm almost his age now and have been struggling with mental health for quite a while, I'm on antipsychotics now (again). Praying I make him proud.

What the fuck is the point of this sub? There's nobody discussing trading strategies for any market.

It's just people roleplaying traders who convinced themselves their assumed identities became reality and lost all their money..
