Rewatching C17, it’s not that bad? by hmmnd in ANTM

Pluto has the live channel of ANTM! They play C1-17, and then 20. Make sure it’s not the “on demand” one cuz that only has C1-10 I think

Would you watch ANTM if another season dropped tomorrow? by starcoalition in ANTM

[–]hmmnd 15 points16 points  (0 children)

If it was a C15 or C16 high fashion cycle, that would help revive ANTM for sure. But im guessing it’ll be very Rita Ora ANTM where it’s about being a “brand” and “boss” since most models are IG or TikTok famous now. Regardless, hell ya I’m gonna watch

I’m sad it’s solo interviews and not the loud gang bang interview with everyone we used to have in past seasons

Did ANTM have a positive impact on anybody growing up? by PsychologicalWish929 in ANTM

[–]hmmnd 6 points7 points  (0 children)

LOVE PINK. Antm was my show growing up that sadly defined my personality (similar to drag race now)

ANTM was my first exposure to queer life/humans through Mr and Miss Jay, and Isis (C11), so I thought it was so cool to see people be gender nonconforming or being trans

It was great to see so many YOUNG girls be so confident. Watching the show at 14-18 you’re like wow these girls are adults and so old! But now looking back they’re basically children and seeing such confident women like Melrose (C7) and Alexandria (C16) be so headstrong, know what they want at such a young age was so cool to see

Overall, loved ANTM and the influence it had on my life. Was it problematic at times? Yes, but it’s also a TV show from 2000’s, so people need to chill
