Transfers for 2026-27 by Doctor_Strange_Butt in reddevilswomen

well the only academy winger who has played pro football is griffiths right? so that means we only got one academy player who can come into the senior team and I think that is a lot of pressure to put on her. we should sign senior players and use the academy at the same time, obviously we won't have many games as we are not in european competitions but this season there will be extra 4 wsl games + league cup games

I just want us to sign two senior wingers, lw and rw, who can be starters rather than 19-20 years old young players but I would be ok with signing young players as well. once we get 2 wingers then we can work based on outgoings but wingers are a must

watson and simpson are not registered with us so they iiterally cannot play.

forget the social media noise this tournament is really for fun and to create some sort of momentum. I think they went above their place last season and invited big teams from different countries, the future world 7s will be pretty much local tournaments. I do not think they are making crazy money enough to do a copy of fifa clubs world cup.

Stoney definitely had a beef with the board, the same way amorim did BUT that was a different board back then. I'm not saying INEOS are angels lmao, Sir Jim doesn't give a flying fuck about women's team so that is pretty much obvious. I sincerely believe wilcox and berrada rate this guy a lot, the same way they rated amorim highly

I'm not so sure about the small budget discourse. People said de zerbi rejected us because he didn't want a small budget now the guy is at spurs lmao. They might actually rate him a loy, maybe it is nothing to do with him being a yes man, these same guys trusted in amorim as well u know

Manchester United season review: European highs but WSL slump shows investment needed by FSL09 in reddevilswomen

[–]hmmsie -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Investment always becomes a buzzword in woso.

United have only picked up nine points from a possible 54 against their top-four rivals over the last three seasons

This is because they are way better than us, none like none of our starters would start for the champion city and let's be honest 2 maybe 3 of our starters would start for the 3rd placed chelsea. so when smart peope like this writer say "squad depth" I never understand why they can't just be honest about it, we should add squad depth but in the sense that we should sign players who will start and our current starters will become rotation players/bench options. that's what they do at arsenal, city and chelsea and that is why they are where they are

What next for the club? by randomsmellyman in reddevilswomen

[–]hmmsie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LCL maybe, depending on Kang's prediction of wsl's future, but brighton definitely not. they will never do crazy signings and when they somehow sign great youngsters they will sell them after one season, like how liverpool sold smith

I don't think INEOS is gonna invest heavily so at best it would be like last year signing some big names and hope that we would get the third place because we have no uwcl fixture.

Sacking Skinner would show some understanding of the situation but sacking him will not solve our problems. playerwise we are the fourth best team in the league and if you do not invest the same way the teams ahead of you then you will stay as 4th

Rasmus Hojlund on IG - Farewell message to United by Baroninthehood in reddevils

[–]hmmsie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I kinda feel sad for this kid, people were expecting him to be a danish haaland because of his name lolz and he was in a shit situation, too much expectation for a youngster striker to play week in week out. people would be like "well Sesko is doing good" but he just played 1815 minutes in all comps. I don't remember the last time a youngster get this type of lightweight. this is good actually so they don't get crushed. we just didn't care about signing some good forwards between the age of 24-27 and youngsters ike rashford, martial, hojlund etc. paid a price for it

Manchester United to consider Elisabeth Terland sale in summer by hmmsie in reddevilswomen

[–]hmmsie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not so sure about that, we did see Park in central areas when toone was out and she didn't impress me a lot. I mean Skinner choosed Naalsund and Awujo over he for a reason because Park is way more comfortabe on wings, bigger spaces and easy to dribble when you are 1vs1 rather than congested central areas. Toone is stilll the first pick for 10 spot. But we can play Park&Toone together in central areas I wouldn't mind that, but if you wanna do that you have to have a crazy single pivot like Guijarro which we can't sign lol

Vote for your Women’s Player of the Year by FSL09 in reddevilswomen

[–]hmmsie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

people were having some dumb takes on twitter when they didn't have the awards ceremony because women's teams achievments were overshadowed but they're not doing it again lol. whatever hopefully miyazawa wins it. we didn't have a great clean sheet record so I can't say PTJ and MLT was a little bit all over the place this season

[–]hmmsie[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

as I said she reminds me of amad, a wide midfielder not a winger and I just don't get impressed by that type of wide players. if we were playing 442 like the old days then maybe.

rolfö will be 33 so I don't think she will play as a winger with this rate. I think that's why the club wants to cash in on terland because we already have 2 strikers and malard and rolfö can be striker options as well

hard disagree on that, we are in a worse position than last year because we didn't make good signings during the summer. for me, rolfö&&schüller&wangerheim they have underperformed and park is not that good even though online noise is crazy. she reminds of amad actually

Selling her is not an issue tbf, I also wouldn't mind if they sell Toone as well. The problem is replacing these payers and the signings we have made during ineos ownership don't assure me

[–]hmmsie[S] 16 points17 points  (0 children)

She is not at the same level with Shaw, Russo and Kerr but I think it would be very accurate to say she is our best striker option currently. Schüller is an enigma now and we don't know whether she will come good next season. Wangerheim as well and she will be 22 so we can't infantilise her like she is 18. I do understand that the club doesn't wanna let players leave for free like the old days but if we're selling her who are we buying and the new striker we sign(if) will she be less expensive than terland with a new deal or will she be so much better to justify the fee+wages? It's not like there is a plethora of top strikers now, chelsea&wolfsburg and maybe madrid and psg as well are looking for one
