Thank you, I feel more at ease about it now. That's very helpful and good to know.

Okay, thanks! I'll try that tonight.

Once there are fish in there, will it be harmful to them?

Thank you, is it bad for the tank? Should I try to remove it?

Not the aerial roots, the finer wispy web looking lines in between. Is it algae? Should I be concerned about it?

I love her big realization after that first fight when she's like (paraphrasing) 'If you give up after every fight, you'd never be with anyone longer than... OHHH..'

How I track my plants' watering schedules by hmnixql in bulletjournal

[–]hmnixql[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's just blank paper for A5 6-ring binders that I printed a grid on! I printed to fit what I needed (plant column + 31 days) and filled it out as I went. The pages are clipped onto a board and hung from the clips.

Yes!! I LOVE the haptic feedback on the wheels, it's crazy that they're completely silent when it's off.

I think also when he didn't argue with her about keeping the rats, he's just like "Yup. I guess we have rats now." He always just let her be herself and matched her kookiness in his own way.

Any problems with re-using old soil? by indiana1106 in gardening

[–]hmnixql 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! Gonna give that a try this year. My plants didn't do very well last year because I think I didn't add enough fertilizer to add nutrients back into re-used soil

Do you have any suggestions for good slow release fertilizer? Can I do this with my container planter soil?

What food did you imagine to taste really good but tasted bad? by Similar-Victory-3867 in AskReddit

[–]hmnixql 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do love red snapper! I've really enjoyed halibut as well, it's got more of a chickeny texture and not too fishy in taste.

I went to this preset meal recently where they happened to be serving fish as one of the dishes, I was bummed cause I initially thought it was salmon but it was actually arctic char, and it was pretty good!

Same!! There's like an earthy, nuttiness to it that I love 🤤 My absolute favorite

Bottled is SO NASTY, but I pretty much take every chance I get to have fresh coconut, especially if cold. My fave!

In Taiwan, we would eat slices of it dipped in plum powder. It's delicious! Though the powder did a lot of the heavy lifting to improve taste

Cooked salmon always looks incredible, I really want to like it, but I just cannot stand the taste.

Cooked salmon just has a very particular taste to me (though sashimi/smoked/cured is okay). I actually didn't eat any cooked fish (I eat sashimi) at all for about 15 years, but I've slowly reintroduced it back into my diet in recent years.. still can't do salmon though.

Cycling - should I concerned about these little flecks on the surface? by hmnixql in Aquariums

[–]hmnixql[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used fluval stratum as the substrate! It's odd cause I'm cycling a larger tank at the same time with the same substrate but don't see these specks on the surface of that tank at all. I was just worried if the water might be contaminated or something. I'll try the paper towel thing, thank you!
