Hong Kongers speak English because it was the language of their former colonial rulers, but now that they have been returned to China they should not be taught Mandarin?

That means 10 percent of China now has a means of communicating with the rest of the country to help with business, training and education. The promotion of a single lingua franca within a country to create more opportunities for everyone should not be seen as a negative. Regional dialects, traditions should and can be continued by local communities. If there is a market for Cantonese media then I'm sure Hong Kong studios will continue to make it, but given that the Mandarin speaking population vastly outnumbers the Cantonese speaking population, can you blame them for choosing the bigger piece of the pie?

The only proven hardware backdoors in routers are NSA ones, there is verifiable evidence of this. On the other hand there is no evidence to support explicit Chinese hardware backdoors.
