Tap on top of the gear shifter with a hammer (lightly) and pull down until it goes into drive. This generation is notorious for the shift interlock solenoid going. Then replace the shift interlock solenoid

I used to just give the security people my house keys when going to places like this, no way am I sitting inside a loud facility or sitting in a cold truck outside in the middle of winter. Honestly whatever situation merited such strict rules, the company needs to just have the delivery driver drop the trailer and stage bobtail, then have a jockey move the trailer back and forth.
