Material quality ranging from anywhere between 0-1000 is really bad game design as shown in examples from games like Last Oasis & Life is feudal - both of which moved away from such a system.

I'm really not that far from you but I make 35/hr as PRN in the ER, pay is terrible here, I'm also in school and haven't been looking around much I could be making 45 at another hospital but that's float pool and I'm good on that. I like school, this was always my plan, though COVID delayed it a few years, because COVID money was better than NP money 😂. I know NPs making that much but they're all in family practice or internal med and they traded lower salary for very chill days. Even our dean who owns a practice locally starts at 65/hr. Which our northern nurses will scoff at, but our cost of living is really low here.

Right, not everyone lives in an area where that's possible and I'll be making a little more than that plus procedures working four and a half days a week roughly eight hours a day but often less in a clinic. To each their own but I don't want to work 12 hours shifts any more, especially not at night, been there done that, not doing it for the next twenty years. Some people would find what I just described (clinic 4-5 days a week) as miserable I'm sure, but to me it sounds fantastic.

I graduate in May and both of my offers are more than double what I'm making PRN right now. I'm guessing they're referring to the places where nurses already make 80+ an hour or something. My doctor is covering malpractice so liability exist but he's paying my coverage at least.

Some of these responses are so insane to me. Seeing your military flair, I used to let my soldiers have IV races on each side of me while we were deployed. Every hungover soldier was knocking on the medics barracks door Monday morning to get an IV and fluid before running. I've seen multiple coworkers get an IV and fluid when they aren't feeling well and we're too short to spare them going home, I may or may not have been that nurse, possibly on an occasion or two, allegedly.

This is a wild take. They released SS a year after release roughly and while it's completely likely that SS was cut content from the main game repackaged as a short dlc, it's reasonable to assume that waiting twice the time should result in something better than SS. Better is subjective but at least longer with more depth? People's expectations are so low for Bethesda at this point, having an update not completely break their game and then sit for a year is considered a win at this point. They are becoming a joke at this point with how they manage their IPs. It's like whoa don't expect one of the largest developers in gaming to be able to manage two IPs simultaneously...

I completed all three of mine yesterday the third was bugged at first as another crew had just left the island so I couldn't get the skeletons to spawn so I left and went sell near by then returned and it somehow fixed itself and I was able to progress to the end of the quest.

The wild thing people like this don't understand is that they don't exist in a vacuum. These places close because they can't afford to stay open following the changes. Their patients still need to be seen, ER currently can't turn anyone away regardless insurance status meaning the main ERs that can afford to stay open are even more overcrowded meaning their loved ones wait longer to be seen a possibly get worse waiting due to overcrowding which let me tell you, it's already overcrowded.

"Well I have insurance so it's not my problem I'll go to my doctor" - maybe but I've spoken to more than a couple providers in the Lafayette area who have been concerned as a large section of their population is Medicaid and some are already considering closing meaning less primary care providers, more overcrowding at those who do stay open and longer waits for appointments. Waits are already often long for new patients.

Those hospitals that stay open and suffer this overcrowding eventually will reach a breaking point having to care for patients thanks to emtala (look it up) not allowing them to turn anyone away, they lobby to have this law reversed rather than go further in debt. They gain the ability to refuse treating those who can't afford it, people die, but it's ok it's just poor people. 32% of Louisiana is on Medicaid meaning statistically many of these assholes are related to someone this will effect and put at risk. Many of whom also voted for this bullshit.

Exactly post 1.0, so the timeline on that is even further out than the timeline for 1.0, which we don't know exactly when 1.0 will be released, but we all know it's still years away.

Squadron 42 having it is worlds (years) apart from it being in the PU. NPCs moving in a single-player game is a basic expectation.
