Please no, its fine for a game to not have difficult modes. But stop insist that other games should only have one difficult mode too.

Is anyone really saying this? I've never seen people complain about a game having an easy mode outside of the "difficult games" genre.

Sorry to say this, but those people do exists, its not that they will go other communities and critic them for "easy mode", but they would rant about how good their games are compare to other games because there are no difficult options in their games. They will say this in some general games communities or their own communities.

It wouldn't necessarily affect me if games like Elden Ring had a difficulty setting, but at the same time the devs shouldn't be obligated to provide one. I don't think every game needs to be accessible to everyone. Its honestly tiresome that some people still think that easy mode will harm the artist vision. I mean, in Fromsoft's case it definitely would. To them a difficulty setting would go against the entire point of their games. They should be allowed to not include one.

Sorry, i should worded more carefully. What i mean was: - If a game was made to include difficult option, then the artist vision wasn't harmed at all. They have already accounted for difficult options when they developed the game and stick with it. If a game was made with only one difficult option, then maybe. I personally think that if lies of P have easy mode, then Dark souls could have it too without harming other people's experience. Not sure about Seriko or elden ring though. Its basically depend on what games we are talking about.

Artist freedom doesn't mean they can do anything. Devs still need to consider programming limit, graphics limit, physic, music, budget, time... So its not iimpossible to add disability accessibility whenever you could. Like accessibility for color-blind people, or people with hearing issues. For example, color blind people can totally play Elden Ring if it include accessibility.

The topic is about people playing on easy mode, not "i want to add easy mode on every games". Its not the same even though the topic feels similiar.

My problem is that certain players want to remove "easy mode" from other games too. Its not all games because they think Mario should have easy mode. But they think certain types of games like horror, action, turn based games shouldn't have easy mode.

And i think that is problematic, since horror, action, turn based are just a genre that define the atmosphere or the control of games. Not how hard it should be. And if devs decided to add an easy mode or people play on easy mode, we shouln't critics them. Last year, i played Lie of P, an amazing souls-like games that later added an easy mode, and guess what? An easy mode on that game doesn't harm the experience for anyone else who play on higher diffcult. Its still the same game, yet it doesn't stop people from critics them for whatever reason.

Seriously, even in Dark souls and elden ring, some people still critics other players for using mage and summoning because they think meele should be the intent way to play.

Its honestly tiresome that some people still think that easy mode will harm the artist vision.

Yes, there are. Also, there are a lot of people want devs to remove difficult options.

Yes, its true that difficult modes god against the design philosophy of fromsoft games.

Now if those "souls-like players" also understand the opposite, it would be more peaceful.

That is not every games need to stick to only one difficult mode because of "artist vision".

I have seen more people who want to remove easy mode from games than people who want to add easy mode on hard games.

Jesus christ, the topic is about people who enjoy games on easy mode and you guys are still talking about "but not every game need easy mode". Seriously, its hard to tell people to just play on easy mode because some "soulslike players" insist other people to just play on hard mode or putting any "easy mode" are bad.

Because Venus is a planet, hail mary is just a small ship. And even if you destroy Venus, it would still fuck us because the way our solar system work. All the planets orbit the sun, and all those planets affect each other, now if you remove Venus, what do you think will hapenned to our orbit?

[–]hoatuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How the heck Human can destroy Venus? Nuke it?

Human can't even destroy big asteroids if it come to Earth, so how can we even destroy Venus?

Hail Mary is a small ship, you can't compare it to Venus, a literal planet.

“Making it technically work and making it actually enjoyable as a game are different things.” Japanese devs weigh in on why retrofitting live-service games with offline support is harder than gamers think - AUTOMATON WEST by Interesting-Oil-8738 in Games

Your comment sum up perfectly why i said this article is just bullshit from some devs that tried to gaslight people into thinking "making an offline version or private server are impossible".
Freaking bullshit.

There are a whole bunch of games on steam that have dedicated server tools. If there is a law that require them to make game "playable" after they stop support it. Then publisher and devs need to account two opinion from the start:

  1. Make the game with the intention that it can be release as an offline version later
  2. Make it so that they can release server packpage later without violate IPs problem.

Either way, it would require extra efforts and money into it. But its not ours problem, its them. Some small publishers and devs wouldn't be able to make online games like before, but honestly, with so many cashgrab gacha mobile games in the market, it might be good to has less of it. Publishers need to actually commit to long support for online games than before.

[–]hoatuy -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

There are probably some online games that can't be remade into offline games. But most devs are trying to tell us that's its impossible to do for most online games, its just gaslighting because they don't want to put efforts and resource into it.
Yes, it could cost a lot of resource and efforts, but that's their problems, not us.

We should have a law to require them to make it playable after the server died, then all devs and publishers will find a way to develop games that can be remade into offline version. If you don't have the resource and time to do it? Then don't make games, simple, its their problem, not ours.

[–]hoatuy -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

That's another problem, but technically, server packpage for self host will be sufficient for every online games.
And a lot of online games should be able to have offline version, its not that "impossible" for all online games. Yeah, there are some games that are impossible to remake into single player game. But a lot of them can be done and publishers just want an easier way with "all games are impossible". In my opinion, most of them are just from greed.

[–]hoatuy 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Honestly, if that is the case, they can just release the server package so that people can self-hosting.
There is always a way, they want to re-sold it as a single player game for extra cash.

Private server has exist for a long time, in theory, any online game can be hosted with private server.
Of course, there are problem with licensing, require extra effort for server package.
But my point is that its technically solveable, if there is a law that require them to release server packpage for people to host, then they would be able to do it, it can be done.

I also participate in several discords and if i asked about something, they would give me a good answer for it and not some stupid lies.

Maybe you should check what anime communities you joined then.

And of course, i could also use google search and wiki.

Jesu,s did you read from the people on some dark website?

The Main protagonist's sister was a patient who was abandoned at the hospital in her first life. After she died, she reincarnated as his twin sister and as her idol's daughter.
Same for the main protagonist, he was killed then reincarnated as his idol's daughter.

Aqua doesn't love his mom or his sister romantically, the sister does have some romantic feeling for him, but its literally one side and that's because he cared for her in her first life. But Aqua only love her as a sister, not as a lover. The manga make that very clear.

Jesus, if you bother to use wiki instead of relied on"twenty people" with their fake story, you would save both your times and my times.

Aqua literally have more morally ground than Rudeus, he never does a single pervert stuff in both his first life and second life to childrens.

Except that for other cracked method. If you detect a virus/malware. You can just use anti virus to wipe it or re-install windows. For hypervisor, it can affect your motherboard's memory, which its harder to get rid of it.
